  • Hi , sorry but its not restored yet , , Am short of time at the mo so give me a year , cheers Tim.

  • I recognize that: "Stranger on the Shore" by Acker Bilk. Hauntingly beautiful song. Nice restoration!

  • How's this machine coming along? Is part 2 coming soon?

  • These are great machines with a very nice rich sound with good bass. Make sure you go through the mech completely with lubrication and adjustments. They are well known for snapping 78's, especially 12 inchers. It can play both 12 inch and 10 inch intermixed. Good luck with it.

  • Thanks for the interest , If you know any one with information regarding any conversion parts to 78 rpm ,I would really appreciate it , many thanks Tim.

  • Many thanks for your interest ,I will do as you say and go through it care, fully

any advice always welcome , if any one knows where I can obtain a 78 rpm kit etc , I would appreciate that , cheers Tim.

  • @2agray This machine was changed to 45rpm records as many of the original M100As were. You can't play 78rpm records on this mechanic.

  • The Ebayer seller that did this to my mum his user name on ebay is

incertcd if you check you will see the negative feedback left

Im just worried you may have bought something that may cause you trouble if it did actually fall apart and damage the mech

  • Hi Tim

This machine was in Doncaster and the seller told my mum that when the firm were delivering it it wouldn't fit through the door so they tooks the sides off it and it collapsed and damaged the mech

I questioned him at this time as i didnt believe him but though no one could do such a thing to an 80+ lady

Looks like he was a crook after all

Negative feedback has now been left for the sale

The gears etc which she bought are going to be used on M100 A that i have just bought sorry

  • Thanks for getting back to me , I understand, , perhaps I will leave it as is ? , on 45's for now, we'll see !! hope you have better luck with your machine , best regards Tim.

  • Hi TIM

    Good luck with it

My mum actually bought this machine off the Ebay seller as a buy it now agreed with the seller and then spent a fortune getting a conversion kit only for the seller to try to cancel the transaction which she refused and then he said it wouldn't fit through his door and it had been taken apart and then collapsed and was worthless and was on the tip

My mum is 82 years old and he treated her dreadful

Anyway not your probelm and good luck

  • So Sorry to hear this, do you know who this person was?

do you still have the conversion kit ?

( it all sounds very dodgy ??? ) take care Tim.
