@Kimvention: I am a MoPar and Valiant fan, but I have to say that I'm impressed by your observations. You should apply for the position of Chief Archaeologist-Mechanic!
@TheSpazModic it's freshwater, so the salinity would be very little, i'm thinking since it's only in a couple feet of water being exposed to both water then air during summer just speeds up the corrosion process.
Hi. My name is Dave, and I can definitely identify that car for you. I know because I owned one back in the late sixties, and I was always puttering around with stuff on it, or fixing something. What you have there is definitely a 1960 Plymouth Valiant. I identified the taillight bezel immediately, and that large chrome ring that goes around the false continental kit spare tire lump on the rear deck lid. That, and a few other parts. The engine is definitely a 170 c. i. slant 6 by Chrysler. NEAT!
you should dig around the sides to see if the rest of the car is under there, it would be easier to identify, or just dig the front or back is it still has the grille or lights that would be easier too
@zepherford I had no idea there were two Hoover Dams until now. That's funny that out of all the places this could be, besides the Hoover Dam that everyone knows, it's still by a Hoover Dam.
@Begbucks yes it is, the lakes down 10+ feet, were getting a lot of rain today, which sucks because everything will be mushy until it drys again, but i don't think it's gonna be enough to affect it much.
lol its just another chevy owner that uses ford blocks as a boat anchor

Thats definately a 170 Slant 6 motor from an early 60's dodge or plymouth. Most likely a Dodge Dart or something like that

There must have been salt or something else corrosive in the water.

you should really let someone know about that grave marker. The dates are 1932-1937 and it appears to be the whole grave of a five yearold child.
