Oh god. I can't stand this version of Fanny. She is so severe. She seems like such a tattletale and is so awkward! Just like Mary in Pride & Prejudice.
The 1999 version is definitely better in acting and chemistry-wise. I don't see anything appealing in this Fanny.

Can you also post the clip where fanny snubs Crawford (about the fun they had with the theatricals). and also where crawford reads shakespeare while fanny is listening. in short as much as you are able to (copyright of course!)
A nice performance by a very young Samantha Bond, showing the beginnings of the fine actress she has since shown herself to be.
