The New Covenant of Jesus Christ our Lord commands us to not transgress into any knowledge that is not the Doctrine of Christ. 2 John 1:9 summarizes the Apostles teachings transmitted by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. "Whoever goes beyond, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son."
The Doctrine of Christ first includes walking "abiding" in Jesus Christ.

He will bestow His gifts that not only teach ourselves His will, but will enable His Saints to edify one another in His doctrine. There is really not a intrinsic coarse of study that can substitute simple obedience to the calling of Jesus Christ, in His doctrine transmitted by the Apostles.
