Can anyone but me imagine the fun animators would have if they got their hands on the Harry Potter characters, settings, and plot? Oh, what a dream that would be.

Yeah, but that's sad. I think the story would be explained a lot better in a serialization than it was in the movies. And the good thing about anime and animation in general is that there are no limits for the "special effects"(such as magic and all that), and this makes it a lot cheaper too in that aspect.
I think that a fantasy/magic themed story, like "harry potter" would be better adapted in animation format.
There are lots of anime series that come out every week with chapters with a length of 20-24 minutes, adding the pain that sometimes they have to make fillers.
There are a lot fo anime series arround there with a shitty story, and even a show like "Supernatural" got an anime adaptation. Why shouldn't Harry Potter have one? xD
@xXStrawberryxMisaXx because the style is similar to CLAMP, and CLAMP is mainly known for series with more focus on Yaoi (and Yuri) pairings then straight boy/girl pairings.
if you made this into a web show you would get so many hits and veiws and be able to seel so many teeshirts and merchindice all you need is good voice actors

Hm.... It could be a fanime? If you don't sell it and don't say it's yours, it should be ok to make. It's not like you are getting money out of it.
