@leo87278 Sorry to go on but as much as I love the Manics after Everything must go , the manics had a few hits, but the lyrics were not as gritty and passionate, I suppose as they grew older and mellowed into comfortable lives it took the edge away. We grew old together though and the band seemed to follow my life and feeling too. The early stuff is the gold enjoy ( this is my opinion music is individual to each soul)
A band comes along once every twenty years, who are never fully appreciated, who are lyrically perfect, melodically moving and make every nerve ending twitch with the feeling of something. whether it's joyful or melancholy, pain or full blown love/lust.
The last band to 'move' me through music were The Manic Street Preachers, now it's Cherry Ghost. xXx
@123spiritseeker I don't know anything about "The Manic Street Preachers", so could you please suggest me some of their most beautiful songs so that I can start listening to them? Thank you!
@leo87272 Where do I start? 1st Album "Generation terrorists" Listen to Motorcycle Emptiness, Little baby nothing and Slash and Burn.
Album 2 Gold against the soul, Most of this album is brilliant, (for me this is the album at peak brilliance)
Album 3 The Holy Bible (this is very dark but angry listen to the lyrics and get inside Ritchie's head, not a good place) DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM IF YOUR ARE UNSTABLE OR DEPRESSED !! LOL
After these albums the lust was gone and they went mellow
