they should really reduce the price otherwise it wouldn't be as successful product as it should be. $200+ fro both the kit and sofrware it is too expensive. Disapointed TomTom!!! For that money i could well buy a brand new fully functional GPS

The kit works like a dock, u can see it at 0:39 ;)

And u can plug in the charger that comes with it at the side 1:20 ;)

I absolutely LOVE the cut out on the back of the TomTom car kit for the Iphone lens. This will allow you to record video of your journey as you drive whilst being extremely still... the video quality will be outstanding as a result! This will be handy for people such as 4WD enthusiasts who would record their 4WD adventures like the in built camera in the Concept Hummer HX.

Gosh TomTom have thought of everything! 10 STARS!

The Navigon Car Kit is half the price for a reason... it's SHIT!!!!!!

It has no in car charging.. it supports NO bluetooth, it does not have the maneuverability and swivveling like the TomTom car kit.. it doesn't have a high performace GPS chip built into it for extra GPS performance... it doesn't have a speaker of microphone for hands free calls/clearer/louder directions... and finally it doesn't have the connection to play music though your car speakers. TomTom has the lot and is BEST!

I bought the holder yesterday only 49 euro's so if you pay 99 euro's for the same holder i buy for 49 then you are an idiot :)

Tomtom is not any more like it was before i have it also navigon is bether also drive lane and bether iphone/ipod interface

you miss a vital point, the tomtom cradle has a GPS chip, opening the app to older iphone users, possibly even ipod touch users. it also improves signals for 3g users.

so not really that idiotic now is it.

ok i made a mistake.. the Navigon car kit does charge the iphone but thats it... all it does is hold and charge the iphone while driving.. it does nothing else like the TomTom one can. Not to mention the TomTom car kit has a cut out on the back for the camera lens so u can record video of your journey as you drive (this could be handy for people who are 4WD enthusiests).
