Never seen a drag bucket with the chains on the inside? Bucyrus Erie HPS buckets. Chains on the inside. Check out this other youtube video. The very first slide show on on Ursa Major a 2570WS in Wyoming.
@aphabet123 The dragline is a BE 2570w so the bucket is approx 100 yard capacity, depending on the boom length. They are larger drags(2570WS, 8750, plus the scrapped 3270 and Muskie, but this is definatly one of the larger in common use.
@brocparsons Without a doubt that plays a big part in it. Just as big a part, almost, as the material they are digging in and how well it has been shot. But, the bucket is a smooth bucket and one that I know many enjoy using.
Awesome video! That bucket is really a smooth operating bucket! I have never seen a bucket cycle as smooth as that one!!! WOW!! I know that replacing the "teeth" on buckets can always be a "fun" job for the poor welders. Every minute the dragline isn't digging, that's money the mine isn't making so you can imagine. Having extra buckets is always nice to have around. Great video again & that dragline is really nice looking!!
Can I run it?
