Things will start to slow down when energy becomes more expensive. Right now we're on an energy high through fossil fuel use. Because we live in exponential times im sure we'll hit some physical limits to growth in the near future. But if we can build artificial brains that can learn at a faster rate than humans we can continue the rapid pace of technological progress.

Claiming that a computational device "exceeds the computation capability of the human brain" bears no meaning at all. The brain does not work like a computer. Comparing the number of transistors vs the number of brain cells in our head does not equal a rational comparison of either computational strength or intelligence.

@eminem213486 I know plenty of people that speak 3 or 4 languages. It doesn't make them any smarter. It means more of the planet knows they're stupid in most cases. 60 year olds and 6 year olds can learn a foreign language. It doesn't take or increase IQ, common sense, or knowledge (other than the knowledge of another language). If people with an IQ of 75 can learn 3 languages, they still have a 75 IQ. I totally agree with the JOBS aspect.
