They've had dual acting insulins for years now. I used to switch between different ones. There was 90/10, 80/20, 70/30, etc. I stopped using them because Lilly quit making them. So, what they're stating here is not some new breakthrough, but, I'm guessing a resurgence of an old theme to a new group of diabetics. The only thing new I can guess is it that they've just combined maybe the lastest insulin(Humalog) with the older traditional types.

Point out that there isn't a blood sugar surge if you don't eat lotsa carbs, or just sell a new med?

Type 2s can often easily blood sugar back to normal or much closer to normal (and reduce medication) just by eating lower carb diets. Type 1s can benefit as well. But tell them this?

Look at sites from dr mary vernon, dr mike eades and thousands of forums and blogs of those who've cut or eliminated their meds by eating a healthier, less processed, and tastier diet.

For sure, i have type 1 and just by exersizing 3 times a week and keeping my diet the same, i can lower my insulin intake. Though obvioulsy i cannot eliminate it with type 1

This was never told to me. I take rapid insulin 4x day...+ my fingers are falling off with sugar tests. I will give my Dr. Hell for keeping this "secret". I sincerely appreciate this information. Thanks !!

why dont you use arm testing.. i used to test on my fingers and yeah they were mangles and i got warts alot but i got a freestyle mini meeter and it came with an arm tester. Now i only test on fingers once a day. It works great:)
