  • I hope they use Brown in our game against the Giants. We will need his power to run on the Giants defense.

  • I THINK REDSKINS JUST SIGNED THIS GUY.

  • i play d3 ball for rpi up in troy new york and we had a guy that plays linebacker tear his achillies my freshman year. He tore it the first game and had to redshirt. This past season he came back and was second team all league, has a three hundred plus hang clean and still runs a legitimate 4.6. With proper rehab, Brown will be fine he's just got to be willing to put in the work.

  • wolfpack in the house

  • Andre, congratulations on being selected by the New York Giants in the 2009 NFL Draft. I was saddened to hear of your injury. I know that you were looking forward to facing the Panthers tonight. I'm sure that you and your teammates spent Sunday afternoons watching them. Best of luck in 2010.

  • Usually, healed achilles injuries translate to a loss of burst, it seems that this kid's pro career might be over before it started... Sad to say - we will have to see...

  • wow really. that sucks. i was really into watching him play.

  • pretty bummed that he tore his achilles. i really thought he'd become an offensive weapon similarly as quickly as bradshaw did. too bad, i really liked him as a draft pick. hopefully he'll get a chance to show his abilities next year

  • hey, whats the song name???

  • "Are You Ready" by Creed

  • i knew it!! lol.

    thank.

  • brandon jacobs 2.

newyork might be a bigger problem this season.

  • this guy wasn't even good in college

  • He ran over your defense last year.

  • hmm somehow i don't think 81 yards counts as running all over a defense. And he only had 1 100 yard rushing game. And I went to the Wake Forest state gmae where he got trashed.

  • 81 yards on 20 carries. 41-10, suck it.

  • He had a hell of a Senior Bowl / Combine. Thats what made him stood out.

  • ooo yeah cause he didnt run all over your defense last year or anything

  • he didn't. 81 yards? and I went to the Wake Forest game where he got destryoed.

  • Stop hating on Andre Brown. No RB on your shitty team is half as good as he is.

  • Does 41 to 10 ring a bell??

  • This guy reminds me so much of Brandon Jacobs. Big, Tall, and so hard to bring down

  • i agree

  • I agree with ghostface.. He has potential to be a 2back though like ward.. if they get him some carries this year and let him develop

  • The Depth Chart should be 1. Jacobs with 2.Bradshaw and 3.Ware sharing carries. This guy Brown should be a good special teamer. Ware runs with finesse and Bradshaw is tough to locate besides tackling.

Unless he gets the coaching staff's approval and with an awesome camp, I doubt he beats out Ware for that third spot.

Overall the draft was a success.

  • it'll be interesting to se which backup gets the most playin time. my money's on ahmad but his guy and danny ware are good backs too

  • great value in 4th round. was he at scouting combine? how could this guy fall past top 100?

  • looks like a faster Derrick Ward and has good hands.. used to running by committe.. PERFECT fit for the G-Men. !!!

  • Welcome To The G-Men Ma Man

  • nice...i like all the picks instead of Bomar...i think we should have taken CB Macho Harris to replace Sam Maddison...anyone else feel the same?

  • Madison barely played at all last year and we have 4 quality CB's on the roster..

  • Macho is slow, we run alot of complex man/zone scheme's he doesn't match up well with anybody in the nfc east. Special teamer at best.

  • @daydaydadon skins got this guy AND harris. lets see if they can do something with it

  • are u serious andre brown, nicks, bardon we cannot be eat gmen all day!!!

  • I know everybody's worried about losing ward, and that's a problem in the passing game but watch the games that danny ware has played in and I think he is going to be number 2 on the depth chart this year. This guy looks exciting I'm most excited about the fact that he looks like an almost power back type player but can catch the ball.

  • this dude is a beast....just add him to the stable of running backs the Giants already have...solid pick

  • Giants are so smart picking him up in the 4th round wat i thought he would go earlier

  • ringer is too injury prone after having major surgery on both knees plus ringer doesnt have that type of game breaking speed the giants are looking for

  • It was a good pick... Giants know what their doing. This guy is solid. He's never fumbled in his college career which was a problem late season with Giant rbs. Brown is also an every down back with power and speed.

  • Good move. Jacobs gets nicked a lot and I heard this guy has hands.. he practices catching 100 passes a day... Some had him rated in round 2.

  • looks like another big bruising running back in the giants runningback core great pick

  • gotta admit...wouldve much rather have picked ringer from MSU...but hey at least we got a 6 foot 6 receiver

  • that BC cb had no chance jaja Jintsss

  • He reminds me of Ahmad Bradshaw but still like the pick. With the Giants offensive line he should be threat as the late gamer substitue.

  • wow i love the pick along with barden...

  • plaxico burress-Hakeem Nicks

    Derrick Ward-Andre Brown

    LETS GO G-MEN

  • Welcome to the GGGGG MEEEEEEN, another great pick by jerry

  • GMEN!!!!

  • gmen... oh yeah!

  • JUST PICKED BY THE NY FOOTBALL GIANTS!! 4th Round, #129

  • Welcome to the G-Men

  • 1:37-1:50 . owns miamis defense

  • Houston Texans 2nd rd pick

  • He has a lot of Clinton Portis in him, hopefully he's also in the NFC East, although playing for the Eagles. Him and Rashad Jennings fit the WCO because both are great receivers.

  • Great Player and person. Hope he does well in the Pros. Enjoyed watching him in college. Good Luck

  • This guy is big and fast, exactly what you want in a back. I hope the Rams pick him up in maybe round 2. When Steven Jackson goes down, we would have a capable backup. But I have heard that he could go to the Texans so we will see.

  • yea he had a real good senior bowl

  • i agree w/ scdrake. also remember he has pretty good hands for a powerback

  • good awareness and power, but not a whole lot of speed i think he goes to arizona or san fran in the later rounds

  • or houston. they'll be looking for a complement for Slaton and a big back with alot of power fits the bill.

  • ummmm he ran a 4.49 forty, unless your talking about agility.

  • whos better, this guy or shonn greene? who do you guys think?

  • i hope the 49ers draft either this guy or shone green come the 3rd round.

frank gore cant do it all by himself ya know

  • good fit for forty 9ers , the coach like hard nose runners, fit well. i think greene is a little better because, brown had some injuries, durability concerns. but both very similar running style.

  • hmm well i think brown can fit better in san fran. he would be a good compliment to frank gore, where i think shonn green might be gone by than, i hope shonn is picked up by jacksonville while the 9ers pick up brown.

  • him and hightower with q and fitz = superbowl 44 champs

  • 49ers met with him! =]

  • Come on 49ers, Get 'em! Pair him with Frank Gore.

  • very good back. he put on more weight when tom obrien came in. cause obrien thought that he was a east and west back . which doesnt work for tom obrien offense schemes. so now he is more a north and south back.

  • he's my favorite running back in the draft

  • Texans compliment for slaton 2009

  • I'd love to see him paired with Tim Hightower

  • SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Come on Jets... draft this guy.... Thomas Jones is too old/slow...

  • san diego chargers had chat with him at senior bowl good player to take over lt legacy

  • Ive got my eye on this kid for the Eagles. He looks like a very natural athlete. I just worry about his lack of production in college.

  • He's been splitting carries for his whole college career, ran behind a poor O-Line, and battled with some injuries. He's got great strength and explosion. He can be almost anyone in a footrace. He's got the physical skills to make it in the next level.

  • 1:50 dang

  • nice video
