  • This sucks. German and french languages have the full scne but the english ones only have parts of it.

  • Ah here is one of the rare scenes where you can see Jimmy Dougan's right hand with only 4 fingers (he lost the middle finger in 2nd world war).

  • "Keyboard. How quaint!"

Looks like Apple took it too literal.

  • Why does this look like it came from an early 90's CDROM?

  • James & DeForrest, R.I.P.

  • i dont understand this, did they travel back in time or something?? why is the earth technology old compared to theirs on the starship??

  • @mjoniaux21 Yes, they traveled back in time to grab a whale and bring it back to the future. Some aliens, who were destroying Earth, were sending signals to whales. But by Kirk's time, all the whales were dead.

  • He forgot to start it with "Siri..."

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • thats the first computer to have a mouse another thing that Steve Jobs brought us

    ....... :(

Rest in peace you brought us so many amazing every day things

  • @clockworkdean You are wrong.

  • "Keyboard! How quaint!" LOL

  • I was cracking up when he picked up the mouse xD

  • Computer... computer computer computer computer

  • F@#king windows.

  • @NonstopRam

Actually, that was an old Mac lol

  • @Nakall How Quiant.

  • I just love McCoys facial expression in this clip, LOL!!!

  • not in this particular clip, but if you pay attention in this scene while Scotty's using the keyboard you'll notice he only has 4 fingers on one hand

  • @Curttehmurt ....We all have 4 fingers on "each" hand.... the other is called a thumb.

Of course I know what you mean.... but I just could not resist. I'll look for that next time around.

  • FUCKIN FUNNY!!!!!!!! ONE OF MY FAVOURITES QUOTES EVER!!!!

  • "The keyboard, how quaint!"

    ha ha

  • My log-in sound is Scotty saying, "Hello, computer."

  • @Charmolution How did you get it to do that? I want my computer to say something in Spock's voice when I log in. Is that possible?

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins

Find the .wav in your system files and replace it with whatever you choose, just be sure to rename it the same as the original file.

  • @Charmolution Find the what?

Sorry, a computer genious I am NOT. :( I must rely on Spock. LOL

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins

I have Vista, so here's how I did it (It will be slightly different depending on which Operating System you're using):

    -Go to Control Panel

    -Click on Sound

-Click on the Sounds Tab in the new window

    -Scroll down to Windows Logon

    -Click Browse

-Choose the sound file of Scotty saying 'Hello, Computer'.

Personally, I took the Scotty sound byte and mixed it with the original log on sound, though. I think it sounds better that way.

  • @Charmolution I have vista too, (at least I *think* it's a vista) and I can't find the sound file os Scotty saying 'Hello, Computer.' do you have to get that from some place else?

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins

htt p: //w ww .angelfire. com/nj2/startrek3/sound. html (Remove the spaces)

It's on that page somewhere, just save the file to your computer.

  • @Charmolution Thanks. I might do that someday. My computer won't let me download *ANYTHING* from online. :(

Thanks for giving me all that info.

  • @Charmolution That's a great idea. I might do that, LOL!

  • @Charmolution

Mine is too, actually. The log off sound is the sound of the doors from TOS.

  • i am not sure why it is speed up...never used to be

  • Seems a lot of videos involving this scene are acting up...

  • Maybee we can communicate with a PC like that in the 24 century :-)

  • We can do it now, didn't you notice?

  • FIX THE GOD DAMN SYNC!

  • And here I thought a PC was only for porn.

  • It is.

    He was using a Mac.

  • James Doohan was a legend, it was a real shame to hear he was gone but at least now he can rest now that has gone and beamed up to that great starship in the sky.

  • This part was funny, but it really doesn't make sense. If Scotty doesn't even know that he can't talk to the computer, then how does he know how to use the software, and how does he type so fast?

  • oh give the guy a break will ya

  • Unlike Janeway, he probably took that 20th century tech class in the Academy. It just took him a minute to remember how to use it.

  • 20th century tech class? I don't remember that being mentioned in Star Trek.

  • I don't remember which episode of Voyager it was on, I believe it was the one with the USS Relativity.

  • @jadetraveler Why not? I had 17th century tech class when I was in high school.

  • @jadetraveler they do have keyboards in ST, and he prop knows how to use a simple program given that they use far more advanced ones in the future. Its kind of like giving someone a super Nintendo in the year 2018. The only thing showcased here was him forgetting when voice recognition command was invented.

  • Hehe, love that part, Hello Computer! :)

  • peck and run haha.

  • A keyboard...how quaint.

  • Its intresting that when the actor died, his ashes were launched into space

  • maybe the vulcans will find it and resurrect him

  • That's a nice thought

  • love this part! :D

  • Scotty is The Best!

  • hello computah

  • ahh... finally something in ENGLISH!!!!

  • lol same here! :)

  • this is my fav star treck movie. alot of good parts.

  • ah damn this is so classic !!! :D bones and scotty dead :(

  • :( deForest Kelly and James Doohan... can't do star trek without those actors.

  • pero qué coño?

  • I have one of those things!

  • greatest mac moment ever

  • Hello computer? I love this so much.

  • this is sooo funny
