Imagine that you are overdrawn at the bank so you start using a credit card to cover the losses. However, your expanses aren't keeping up with your credit line so you start borrowing from friends until they refuse to lend you any more. What is your option? Decreasing expenses comes to mind-the well is dry.

You have to remember though that we were also dealing with the aftermath of 9-11 and what it did to the travel and hospitality industries as well as mass transportation. We also had Katrina and other natural disasters which were also very expansive. However, since 2007, our spending has increased by multitudes. It has to stop.
