Central control for all windows- auto brightening in emergencies to aid visibility and you can still see out even when darkened! Windows are 30% larger than other jets-they seem HUGE when you sit in the very comfortable seats! They big difference is the window position.. They are aligned with the seats so you don't have a window "behind" your seat! Great plane!!

Besides being a new feature which is always cool to see on planes, I'm not sure I'm sold on it. I mean a swipe of the hand to lower a window shade takes how many seconds? Why would I want to wait for 45secs-1min to get total darkness that I could get in far less time by just pulling down my window shade.

Good: Weight savings. Central control. Bad: Another feature than can break and needs to be maintained.

So how is this better than a normal window shade?  Can the FA's control them from a central panel? That would make them a neat feature!

@aichaudh Yes flight attendants can control them from a central panel.

@aichaudh I beleive they can. And yeah, it saves time when they have to dim the cabin for safety and open all shades. It can also reduce glare so people don't get blinded.
