I am Eddie Cohen, tenor saxophonist of Les Skah Shah from 1977- and I was honored during one of our performances at the Coconut Grove in Brooklyn to have Mr. Nemour Jn Baptiste slowly make his way to the stage, reach for my saxophone and play it with the band in what would be his final public appearance. This was in 1978 or 1979. Long live Kompa, the genre Mr. Baptiste created.
