@AcceleratingUniverse overkill was founded in 1980 but didn't release an album till 1985. slayer,and metallica released an album in 1983 and anthrax in 1984 which basically makes them creators of thrash metal and making the genre popular. as for megadeth they didn't release and album until 1985.

@AcceleratingUniverse yea wikipedia is very handy. overkill released the demo''power in black'' in 1983 which coincidentally is in the same year as slayer's show no mercy and metallicas kill em all. metallica was formed in 1981 and overkill released their demo in 1983 not only was metallica formed a year later than overkill they released and album while overkill was releasing demos.

@TheCabinRacoon I agree that Slayer is an epic thrash metal band (they r my favourite from big 4) but i think that someone should respect Sodom equally with Slayer :D They are excellent musicians and consequently they compose great songs like the one we hear, although it is not one of their BIG successes (it's a amazing song though) like Agent Orange, Napalm in the Morning , Ausgebombt, Code Red and M16.
