  • If there is such a thing as intelligent design........then why the fuck are these christians so un-intelligently stupid. You would think that the creator would give the believers an IQ of over 50

  • Hang on... praying for somebody to come back to life is a TESTABLE CLAIM!

When it didn't work, did they abandon Christianity? Nah, probably not; they just interpreted it as god saying "no".

  • I don't believe in the supernatural but i do believe there is a God. No one has the right to say there religion is the only religion and everyone else's is fake because when that time comes and nothing happens or you have been praying to the wrong god then well that's just going to suck...

  • Hahah I'll bet anything these people are welfare queens.

  • To paraphrase Christopher Hitchens, resurrections were a "bit of a banality" during Biblical times. There are many accounts of people rising from the dead in the Bible, so it's not surprising that true believers might expect grandma to come back to life.

Fortunately, most Christians don't believe all the resurrection stories in the Bible. Unfortunately, the belief in Jesus' resurrection persists.

  • When you accept magical thinking as a baseline for your view on reality (god goggles) then you are especially susceptible to any charlatans lie. Faith is gullibility and ignorance void of scientific evidence and analytical thinking. Think for your self or some one will do it for you, to your peril and their benefit. Unfortunately this is not possible for some who are willfully delusional, indoctrinated or dimwitted. To those I give my condolences.

  • Why is this so crazy? Their scripture is full of miracles, and has like 3 different resurrections on a whole bunch of people.

When you have crazy, irrational, disgusting, evil scripture and mix it with people dumb or crazy enough to believe it the results are often ugly.

The Bible is evil, the most disgusting book I have ever read. Sure it says love thy neighbor, after it says to kill them if they are of any other religion or do something on a long list of "sins" punishable by death,,

  • this is just another example of how religion can do harm to human beings. is anyone actually surprised at these actions?, i mean dont we already know that there are more religious fanatics in this country doing harm to us then there are over seas?. atleast the ones over seas cant make it here, you need to start asking yourself what is been down to stop the fanatics already here.no matter if its christian, muslim or whatever, fanatics are fanatics, and ALL terrorist in 1 form or another.

  • @TheWisdom187 Well yeah, they are all similar because they are man made, and are relative to the individual due to the fact that it is left to interpretation. There was a quote I liked that is too long to post, but the jist of it is that religions and belief systems are practically useless, except for the fact that they can be used to determine what the character of someone based on what religion he claims to be.

  • @Martial024 i wouldnt say religions are useless. i mean to the person with common sense they are, but to the people and governments who know how to use them correctly, provides them with a tool of fear to control people. at the end of the day, people will believe you have a relationship with a higher being, but in fact you are just following a belief that a PERSON put into your head. its just as dangerous as a nuke if not more.

  • Sad thing is is that the U.S. constitution says the government can't prohibit the free excise there of, of a religion :/

  • @berner Until it contradicts other laws.

  • The sad thing is, they were really just following what the bible said. If you pray and truly believe, it says, anything at all can become real. Extreme belief in a religion would never result in horrific violence, or ridiculous reactions to illness or death if the basis of the religion was sound, but unfortunately, most do not have a sound basis.

  • Another case that proofs that religion causes impaired thinking, brain dysfunction and dangerous mental illness.

  • If only it were that easy. Wait until John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, Malcolm X, Gandhi, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Heath Ledger, and John Belushi hear about this.

  • So thats amputation and death that having a bit of a pray does not cure.

  • Nowhere does it say that these people were Christian. All is says was that they prayed. They may have had their own little cult and prayed to their own jesus, but to claim that they were Christian and prayed to the real Jesus is unsupported by the video.

  • @YHWHisSovereign - statement from Bushey's attorney, Thomas Steinman:

“A miracle like that is part of the Christian faith,” Steinman said. “He truly believed she would come back from the dead.”

  • @YHWHisSovereign They were told by their pastor..

  • Jesus Christ is an extension of Julius Caesar and he probably didn't really exist. Go cry and mark me with a thumbs down, you're the ones that suffer from psychological disorders. Go tell your imaginary friend that I was mean to him.

  • @Viktir666 Extension of Julius Caesar? Let me guess, Zeitgeist. Terrible video. Jesus may not have existed, but that almost seems beyond the point. Whether he existed or not does not verify the supernatural claims made about him.

  • @camino1ca Not Zeitgeist. Anyway, Jesus isn't a magical being or the son of a god. Logic defeats mythology.

  • @Viktir666 True, but closing your ears and yelling LA! LA! LA! also works well. Typical Christian method.

  • @camino1ca Agreed.

  • @Viktir666 you are creating your own mythology, which is equally foolish

  • @saugustus1 Failure of logic. It's a fact that christianity is a myth. I never said what "I" follow.

  • @Viktir666 it is a fact that christianity is a mith... but it is also a myth to claim jesus is an extension of julius ceasar. thats all i meant

  • @saugustus1 OK I understand where you're coming from. Now you could be right about the latter.

  • @Viktir666 Jesus likely did exist but as a man not some deity with magical powers as you said. Jesus is as DEAD as JFK is :p

  • @camino1ca wowow wait.. if he didn't exist, that would STRONGLY suggest that the supernatural claims about him were wrong, wouldn't you say? Afterall, how could he walk on water if he didn't exist?

So it is a perfectly valid point...

  • @nejtilsvampe It really doesn't matter if he did or not. The claims are still wrong.

  • @camino1ca Two atheist arguing because each of them thinks the other is a christian. Now I've seen every type of argument.

  • They suffer from the christ-psychosis. Like most dumb ass Americans who adhere to lies.

  • @Viktir666 Lies and denial seem to be quite the fashion in the us.

  • @ZeonGenesis Christianity was forced upon your country too. A lot of the Vikings bravely fought back against the murder the christians brought to your lands. In USA, we just believe in it because our family believes in it and we don't want to go against our upbringing because we're too cowardly to look our family in the eyes and say I DON'T BELIEVE. Christians are so judgmental they would think down on their kids. I'm not allowed around my family because I renounced christianity when I was 18.

  • @Viktir666 Indeed it was. For some reason we've began to be able to let it go. Though of course now the topic of islam silences the country in their fear not to insult.

It's amazing that is the punishment of thinking and scrutinizing in one of the most powerful and scientific advanced countries. I imagine that peer pressure keeps a lot from coming out. Outright exclusion like you're a criminal. Fucking ludicrous.

  • CHRISTIANITY IS BOGUS!! CHRISTIANITY IS BULLSHIT!

This is a STUPID CHILDISH RELIGION invented by and for IGNORANT DORKS!

JESUS LIED MANY ,MANY TIMES in the bible!!! Jesus Lied About Prayer inumerous times as you can see below: Jesus is quoted many times in the Bible saying that a believer can ask for anything through prayer and receive it.

  • He even goes so far as to say that mountains and trees can be thrown into the sea simply by praying for it. This is clearly a lie, and can be proven to be a lie by any believer. Simply pray for me to be converted to Christianity right away. Or better yet ask God to move the mountains behind my house. He could make a lot of converts that way. If I’m converted today, I’ll post a public apology on my web site and devote my life to kissing God’s ass.

  • If I’m not converted it would only be fair for you to apologize and devote your life to kissing my butt. Here are the quotes from Jesus that proves that he lied: 1) And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

  • 2)Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB) 3) Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.Jonh15:7

  • For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. (Matthew 18:19-20 NAS) 4) Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

  • 5) And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-13 NAB) 6) And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 NAB)

  • 8) It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. (John 15:16 NAB) 9) On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24 NAB)

  • A lot of Christians ignore what Jesus actually says in the Bible. They also tend to add things to the actual words to make them say something else. If you honestly and truthfully read these quotes, without adding to them, it is very easy to see that Jesus is not saying that God will think about your prayers. He says God will grant all your prayers. Clearly, God doesn’t grant all prayers and this proves that Jesus was a habitual liarTHE "FLYING JEW" WAS A BIG FRAUD!!! JESUS,the Lias IS DEAD!

  • Only the religious can be so stupid.

  • Why don't the people who call themselves Christians but decry this sort of thing WAKE THE FUCK UP! You are just as deluded as these morons, you just know not to be too free in reality with the bullshit you believe in, stuff like resurrections, jonah and the whale, a talking snake, miracle water...it is ALL MYTHOLOGY. IT WAS NEVER REAL!!!! If you can't see that, then you are just as dumb as these people, but you keep it secret.

  • @sfajaxel Or they just haven't done anything newsworthy yet.

  • the apporpriate response to this report is as follows:

    lolwut

  • the stupidity of some people, lol, freaky a** religious people, who'll believe anything their beloved pastors feeds them, get a brain people, praying may help in some situations but it ain't gonna bring back someone who's been dead for 2 months, f**king idiots, obviously they loved her a great deal and didn't want to see her go but still thats sick man

  • What Christian thinks people can be brought back to life?

    ROFL.

  • @Haroids

Is your comment a joke, or is it for real? What Christian thinks people can be brought back to life? Uh, pretty much all of them. I mean, isn't that what that whole fairytale the bible is all about?

  • @SkankExpose Lol, nice ignorant comment you made there.

I happen to be a Christian but since we're not living in the Old Testament right now, I obviously don't believe people will be brought back to life...Physically of course. Not to say God is incapable of doing so.

Anyway, call the Bible/Christianity whatever you feel like calling it, it's your life, not mine.

    Have a nice day. xD

  • public school!!! JOBS!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! christians really are insane

  • The bible says, "ask and you shall receive" Well they did asked for trouble and now they shall receive their punishment (from the police that is). Haha...

  • While christians do scare me quite a bit, they're just becoming hilarious.

  • Stupid christians and there magic tricks.

  • YYYYYIKES

  • wow, i never knew christianity could be THIS fuckin retarded =)

  • Could it be anything else?

  • @SEF6519 Please note this is not christianity being "Retarded" theses are unintelligent people. Unintelligent people are common and unfortunately most christians that make the news are not the intelligent ones.

  • I disagree completely. These people did what most people did. They worked, owned a home, drove a car, and may have been very reasonable on many levels. It was through following their beliefs to there logical conclusions that resulted in tragedy, not their intelligence. What sense does it make to say oh I am a Christian but I don't believe that and that and that, yet I believe in a foolish story of redemption and talking snakes? These people REALLY believed, do most Christians? Not likely.

  • @camino1ca Perhaps you misunderstand what I am implying. Example - someone who is incredibly intelligent in an academic setting may be completely inept in a social realm. Therefore they are an academic genius yet a social idiot.

These people were able to function in a regular society however they failed to critically analyze their religion, and thus misinterpreted symbolism in their "holy book" for reality.

  • And I disagree with this one. Such a person about which you are talking, would most probably think very logically and rationally, and he would dismiss religion entirely, or look at it with suspicion. The only way really intelligent man could act that way is if he had schizophrenia or smth.

  • Well I would agree with a part of it. Religion affects unintelligent people more than intelligent ones. But they all risk of starting to live in delusional world. So basically, it IS religions fault.

  • @Exarion23 "Guns don't kill people, people who miss use guns do" In the same way Religion does not force people into a delusional state, but people who miss use and misinterpret religion run the risk. Often theses people are highlighted and it gives a bad name for the religion, as well as the members of it that have more rational views.

  • Except that to get a gun you need to have passed sanity tests (in my country at least), while religion is open for everyone- the more mindless zealots there are, the better! More income ofc :D But if a man is very imaginative and easily affected by spiritual things from birth and is presented with religion from age of 6 (who would give a gun to child?), becomes "bum bum in head" type, it is his fault or those people (priests, religious community) who presented him with religion?

  • believing in talking snakes and magical fruit IS a delusional state..... Religion is rediculous unfounded brainwash.... to put it in the simplest of terms, lies.

  • Yes believing in "talking snakes and magical fruit" would come across as illogical. Yes some christians think like this (partially due to biasses they were raised with and are too stubborn to give up.)

However, Not all christians are like this, and are able to recognize this part of the bible as symbolic and metaphorical, which the others and you seem to have misunderstood.

To judge all christians by the like of the illogical is.. in the simplest of terms, Idiocy.

  • To believe in an unfounded god is idiocy.. If your smart enough to know there arent any talking snakes or magical fruit you should be smart enough to realise there is no god.... It is all the same lie, quit trying to pick the parts you want to be true and discard the rest... Lies with good intentions are still lies.

  • Yes a belief In a god or higher power is unfounded, on the same token the disbelief in a god or higher power is unfounded also. So in reality you are picking and choosing information, not I.

You, perhaps due to bias, or perhaps simply because you are stubborn, are not comprehending what I am saying. I am not disregarding the first book of the bible, I look at it in its symbolic form. Jesus used parables (stories that were symbolic to teach a lesson) So does this.

  • Lol, you seem to think having no evidence is "information". Pointing out that something is completely unfounded as a reason for not giving it any consideration isnt picking and choosing. Have a nice day fruitcake.

  • It is not illogical to believe in a higher power/god/deity. What is used, as evidence is interpretive. Theoretically, a group of unbiased academics could review the notion of a higher power/god/deity and conclude that there is not enough evidence to prove it, nor is there enough to disprove it. Since this debate is both in the scientific and philosophical realm there must be faith, either in a god, or faith that there is none.

  • Furthermore your childish remarks suggest that either you are insecure in your own world view and are trying to provide a distraction or you simple posted here to start a debate in which you had no intention of listening to the other side.

  • I could get in to the historical, scientific, cultural, and logical reasons why this is so, but I simply do not have the time because I have a life.

If you are going to debate this, listen to all the points, not just what you want to hear, and furthermore get educated on all aspect, not simply one narrow view that is not held by all.

  • the word Christian and unintelligent and synonymous.

  • *are

  • @Theudas001

Most Christians that make the news are not the "intelligent" ones? LOL! Are you kidding me?

So believing someone walked on water, people talked to snakes, people lived inside whales, someone parted a sea and believing there are invisible angels and devils floating all around...this is intelligent? Actually...IT'S INSANE!

  • @SEF6519 really? Christianity has been retarded since it's implementation as the state religion of the Roman empire.

  • This video is against The Lord of Jesus Christ and you will perish in HeL..... sike... im jus playin LOL

  • lol

  • No, this video simply displays illogical christians. Illogical people can be found in any belief system, intelligent people are able to recognize that a system should not be judged simply by the actions of the illogical.

  • @Theudas001

You calim that these questions are illogical. But according to the bible, jesus said that anything asked in his name shall be given. Ask and you shall recieve. That's the logic behind the prayer, and that's all these christians did. Follow their BIBLE'S logic for handling problems. To us atheist what they did was illogical, but according to the bible prayer IS logical thing and shoul be used to solve crisis.

  • You are taking a verse from the bible out of context, therefore misunderstanding the meaning. You are taking it from Luke 11: 9-10. This is a fraction of the lesson. Jesus was teaching to be persistent in prayer. Persistence helps one to understand the intensity of ones need. (Understanding can make you realize that perhaps your asking for the wrong reasons.) *Be persistent and you will receive. It may be knowledge, it may be spiritual, it might not be what you originally asked for.

  • Furthermore the following verse specifies that God will only give you good gifts, such gifts one ones that we need, not ones we want. Perhaps these Christians misinterpreted this as you did. If a loved one has passed away it is there time to bring them back is understandable but it is a want not a need.

Logic would include the context by which the teaching was in.

  • @Theudas001

Your statement is just so unbelievable, hypocritical AND RIDICULOUS! I mean illogical Christians? If you believe in this religion YOU are illogical. The whole basis of your religion is based on fantasies. People walking on water? People talking to snakes? People parting oceans? Women being made from ribs? People being conceived WITHOUT coitus? OH COME ON! Talk about fucking illogical!

  • @SkankExpose I’m not religious, bur i’l still call you on bullsh*t. I know plenty of Christians who are logical and functional people, many of which see much of the stories in the bible as stories (not factual events) I’m curious as to know you thought Theu’s comment was hypocritical

  • @NightHawkBomber001

    @SkankExpose

So, let me get this straight: you believe that if you only believe in one or maybe just a few BS stories, you suddenly become logical? Where, then, do you draw the line between logical and illogical? How many BS stories does it take?

Now, let's at least get one thing straight: people can be logical at times and illogical at others. I'm guilty of it myself. These Christians may be logical most of the time about other things, but they are illogical on religion.

  • @AtheisticLiberator Define logical.

  • @AtheisticLiberator Finally, some people who use logic to conclude. I was beginning to feel very alone in the christian hell they created on YouTube.

  • this is really no different than the people we see on Springer, is it?

  • wow, thanks for posting. added to Christian craziness playlist

  • Yeah, it's a keeper.

  • "He also reportedly told the children if their grandmother's death was discovered, the kids, quote, would have to go to public school and would have to get jobs because the Grandmother paid the bills..."

Holy hell, what conditions were those kids living in? Makes me also question the parents of them too, if the 90-year-old grandmother was the one paying the bills. Not attending public school is already a crime in its own sake!

As for the pastor giving that sort of "advice," wow...

  • Yes, it's insane.

  • *sigh* I can't believe this is from my local news. It bothers me extremely that people like this live near me.

  • Ouch

  • The pastor and the people who listend to him are clearly insane! For goodness sake, they have no idea what they are doing. But the same as atheists have orgies, rape, kill.. were all individuals and we all do weird stuff.

  • Orgies don't fit in with rape and killing. You also seem to miss the point if you think people just do weird stuff. The video is a good display of religious idiocy.

  • Is someone here trying to imply that orgies are not happiness in human form?!

  • I certainly wouldn't argue against orgies!

  • "atheists have orgies, rape, kill.."

Why don't you just throw in pedophilia, racism, and theft as well? Asshole.

  • @ScotsmanRS Heh, we also wear fur and pick our noses in church.

  • @ScotsmanRS orgies are awesome

  • WTF

  • gross

  • sick

  • Wow... just... wow....
