Hey guys :D kiya aka enolover here if you guys also want to learn Asl (amercian sign language) follow this website. it has everything i seriously dont understand what she's saying, i tried on my deaf friend and he looked at me like i was on something. but here's the link lifeprint. com :D i hope you enjoy :)
@RandomSqueaks I'm pretty sure the difference between ASL and ESL is ASL is its own language it has it's own sentence structure and order words go in i believe "it's time, place, action, subject" (ex if you say i want ice cream now in ASL it will be signed Now icecream i want) but ESL is just word from word english so I want ice cream now will be signed the exact way you say it :) hope i helped
I've seen alot of ppl do sign language and it seem like everyone is dif, some things are similar and some are way off, how will I know what's right and wrong? or is it just everyone who does it put their own spin on it?
@AlyaPattinson Exactly! I think I have most of it down. I knew a lot of it before I got here because I had hearing problems when I was little, ans my stepbrother can't talk.
@AlyaPattinson Yeah. It's hard sometimes, and I can always read lips. My stepbrother is autistic. He doesn't want to learn how to fluently sign, but in order for him to get some things he wants he has to use it,
Wow great video! I actually understood you perfectly except for the beginning because you spoke really fast. Really... Fast. But after that it was a great video, you could teach others sign language
@mayful1 It doesnt bother me at all. I can speak really well. If you cant not understand me....there always have desp. box in it that will tell you list of the words. But I've take speech therphy since I was 3 until I stopped when I was Junior year (2006) in end of school year.
i feel like you're actually my friend.. my girlfriend and i are learning together and whenever i talk about my "friend ashley" she know's just who im talking about! =) thanks!
hi ashley thanx for all your help... i recently moved to omah and i got a job where i work with quite a few hearing impared ppl. which are now my friends. thanx to u i can some what speak to them.. i just starting watching your videos about 3 weeks ago an hr a day and its helped alot... thanx gorgeous

Hi ashley. i am a beginner at learning sign language. Lol with your help you helped me alot. Thank You for that. I just got one BIG question. Can someone understand someone if they use Esl? or no? like wat are the difference between those 2? (ESL and ASL)
@goerj1 ESL is english sign language, meaning it has the same grammar structure as the english language. ASL has a different grammar structure and syntax.
Your videos are really helping me I'm a beginner to ASL My mom Taught me ESL and the people i know look at me funny when i do an ESL sign so Thank you for this video it is teaching me to communicate with people with disabilities
pls dont be mad tho. This is friendly. You are actually mixed of ASL and ESL. I used to sign MSS (newer than SEE sign) Then I realized that this country is pretty much of full ASL. So I had to adjust myself into ASL. But I sign ESL only to hearing people lol. Its good to meet you. Merry Christmas.
I would love to follow you around for a week or too. You put so much effort into signing. Its a beautiful language when you have the right person. I look for more of your videos daily. Please keep teaching and I'll keep learning!! Thank you and God Bless!
its so cool that you are using some of your time to teach us sign language! Thanks so much! me and my friends know they alphabet and some other things and we use them whenever we can!
Hey ashley I know that you preffer to use sign language. Is there a reason why you don't use ASL? I love learning from you. Its really cool to see the different signs for words I already knew and how they are different. Thanks for teaching.
Your welcome. I don't use ASL but i know little bit. But the reason because I've know english sign language since I was 7 and all of my old interpreters does the same thing and never used ASL in school bc they don't like ASL because rather better for English.
I got it. I kinda figured but was just wondering for sure. I think asl and sign language are both great though. I just have learned ASL in school though.
@AdemiaDavenport I've know english language for long time since I was 7 when i first started learning in my elementary school when I transfered school there. None of them never used ASL.
@AshleyMichele07 If I learn ESL will I be able to understand ASL as well?

How different is ASL from what you're teaching? Do most people that sign know how to carry a conversation in both ESL and ASL?
