What's wrong with a Squire? I own Fenders made in Japan, Mexico, and the USA, and there's no real difference.

She's better than I was at 9. Were you better than her at 9? Please post a video of you playing guitar at any age, especially age 9...

Squiers are different, they are cheaply made. In her vid with a pick I explained. Just google reasons why not to get a Squier. The strings don't stay on good and you end up having to use great force holding them down. This is from many times experiencing others' guitars.

Also, I didn't start playing until a year ago, so I can't get you that 9 yr old video. But I can still play pretty good, I finally can nail the cliffs of dover intro. but im not a guitar god.

This is good...for all you saying a thumb is bad for tone, i encourage you to listen to Mark Knopfler. Also, with the tone she had, using a pick would have made it sound too bright. Listen to the song again, Slash has his tone knob turned way down to get a warm, soft tone.

you should play with a pick, your thumb doesnt allow a good sound to come out and you should try playing faster but other than that good job
