The prison system was introduced into Africa by Europeans and has pretty much remained in the same state since its inception on the continent. In fact attempts to build better prisons are seen as repressive action by many democratic/human rights advocacy groups. At same time the so called development partners dont have penal systems on the agenda and discourage heavy investments in the sector.

Only God as the right to say who lives or dies. Think about it, it's probably a lot of people on death row that's been wrongfully accused and that's dying for nothing.
