That is really creative. You may consider using the electric typewriter instead of the manual ones. There aren't any manual typewriters in the market anymore. Even there is, the quality of the new manual typewriter is not built as strong as the old ones. I looked for a manual smith corona typewriter (50's) for long time. I finally bought one from ebay for $71.

Wow...I found this on google while searching for a vintage typewriter in the Boston area. Please don't ruin the antique typewriters that are being sought after by collectors or those who simply wish to have one nice old typewriter as home decor. I think it's kind of sad that they are being abused by constant pounding.

"Home decor" At least they're using them, when the old type writers give out, then the collectors can have them, since just going to let it sit there, hoping that no one will try to actually use it. I was with you until you said home decor, as for The Boston Typewriter Orchestra, they can just buy new manual typewriters from Amazon; Olivetti MS25 Typewriter and the Walterdrake Improved Manual Typewriter are in stock. I don't know if they're still being made, but they're in stock.
