Just saw the Sonics last night. Sickest shit ever. They are just as good as they were forty years ago. The songs they played off their new album are just as good as their old ones. IT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE HOW GOOD THIS BAND IS.
@ashetonpop you wouldnt have any white stripes either - of course you wouldnt have any sonics if you didnt have little richard and chuck berry and then again you wouldnt have any chuck berry without muddy waters or t bone walker and they wouldnt have been playin that stuff if it wasnt for... etc etc ad infinitum
@sclapione yeah these guys are amazing, but there's bands now that are not bad as well. this is a sonics video though, and that's what we all came to this page to watch, haha :)
ehhmm could anybody send me the album... well im just 15 years old but i love it ^^ if you can send me the album please write me a mail or something like that to my youtube account so i will give you my icq number ;D thanks a lot =)
Get "download helper" and the firefox browser, or a similar program for whatever browser you use. You can get all of these in .FLV off youtube which plays in real player now. I think new versions of download helper can convert straight to MP3, either you do that, or you get a secondary converter (for Mac I use wondershare, for PC you have your pick of the litter of like a half dozen free ones).
KOOLE0329 - 'T'Bird were....'? More like 'are'!! I know that, I saw them at the 100 Club, London in June 09. Been in love with Kim Wilson since I saw him in London in '89.x
I'd never heard this song before - think I might be too young lol!!
I'm in the UK so when I was a kid I was spoonfed on 'home grown' bands.
Scheisters from the Pac Northwest......I saw them a bunch of times around Seattle.....get real and check out our real local faves the Liverpool Five from England.....some of their stuff is showing up on You Tube,
bet ya just bought that car cause ya saw some girl drivin down the highwat witha pretty ribbon in her hair. I mean, ribbons have fucking well got a life of their own. ha ha...craig bought a car he thought had ribbons in it but they were gimp

ahha..attitude this?..this song?...YOU go watch teletubbies,ahah..i dont believe the hype around this guys, i´ll stick with who are the brain police? by zappa or even tombstone blues by dylan...just straight fucking madness, fuck the sonics!
These guys were the soundtrack for my youth! We would play their albums through a P.A. system with speakers hanging out my bedroom window while we played hoops in the driveway or worked on our cars. Like many kids of the day, we had a garage band that was inspired by the sound we heard from those vinyl LP's. Bob Bennett's drumming was as powerful as any rhythm maker I've ever heard and I still get that feeling I had then when I cue up "have Love Will Travel" or "Strychnine" on my IPod. REAL ROCK

Amazing ...MY A*****. I saw them twice get blown off the stage by an English band , The Liverpool Five , that moved briefly to the Pacific Northwest in 1965.Finally this "Best kept secret of BritRock" is getting some attention. I have noticed a few sites on You Tube that are worth checKing out as is their recently released cd on Sundazed Records available on all major internet sites. They embarrased the Sonics, Wailers ,Revere and the Raiders whenever they played with them.I will not forget them
the hand claps completely seal the deal on this one.

A band that could write the same great song over and over again. The use of hand claps in this is key. For circa '65, mind blowing.

First heard this live by the Fab T'Birds at a gig in Southampton, UK in '07. Nick Curran sang lead, backed by a great band.
Sadly that line up split, think at end of Euro tour that year(?).
Love Kim and any T'Bird line up he has (great at the mo), but miss this number by Nick.
Like this :)
