  • the hand claps completely seal the deal on this one.

  • There probably wouldnt be Coachwhips without this. That alone is reason enough to love this band.

  • It's only garage-rock'n fuck, but i like it.

  • just a rockin song

  • Thumbs up if you're here b/c of Dan Auerbach's rec.

  • COS I'M BIT FUCK DOWN! AAAAAH!! FUCK, YEAH! XD

  • For fuck sake! This is real garage!!

  • if Land Rover had used this song (instead of "Have love. Will travel" )their sales would have gone off the chart.

  • This song ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bitches man....

  • yes this rips !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That one guitar riff sounds like the riff in "Flower in the Sun" by Janis Joplin.

  • those 5 people, how could you DISLIKE this? seriously.

  • @wtfandreiinaa They were deaf.

  • sounds like king khan

  • In this song he sounds kind of like Jimi Hendrix

  • deadly snaresound!

  • Just saw the Sonics last night. Sickest shit ever. They are just as good as they were forty years ago. The songs they played off their new album are just as good as their old ones. IT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE HOW GOOD THIS BAND IS.

  • song of the movie ,

    Knight And Day - 2010

  • @catone82 I think they lost them after listening to real Rock music.

  • So this is where the Mummies got their sound....

  • FUCK YEAAAAAHHHHHH ROCKNFUCKINROLL! YOW!

  • ahhhhrghhhhhh some of the comments here

how can you even discuss the majorness of

    THE SONICS

  • dont compare to hives

SONICS is so much better, this is rock n roll

  • @mh1909sci the hives dont publicise themselves AS rock n roll, there is no comparison, just subtle similarities

  • 5 people do not have ears

  • Just bought this on vinyl.

    7" format.

    Check out Norton Records...

  • @jmazz303 Thank you.

  • 5 people only listen to miley cyrus

  • awsome!! i want the albums! any help!?

  • WOW........thats cool

  • This is a cover5

  • this is rock n' roll

  • @tcr023 spot on! Truly unbeatable sound.

  • A band that could write the same great song over and over again. The use of hand claps in this is key. For circa '65, mind blowing.

  • damn.

  • @hafizhatta1 word.

  • i read somewhere that the sonics were the first to really apreciate distortion, as a matter of fact they even jammed icepicks in their amps.

  • @huzoso I've heard that about at least a dozen bands, from Link Wray to the Kinks.

  • just how I does yo

  • i love it to dance

  • i hate no doubt

  • THIS is blues. Absolute, pure blues.

  • black as fuck

  • Hey this reminds a bit of that Compulsive Gamblers song

The Sonics are where its at man

  • Great band with just a killer drummer. Love the Sonics.

  • More like origins of the Black Keys!

  • This band is legendary....original wild punk rock from the 60s long before punk existed!!!!

  • ac/dc intro have a drink on me i think

  • Sepultura at the beginnings

    !

  • in this song the black keys sound like the sonics

  • @al2pavon : Indeed my friend, so much influence in the Black Keys own music from The Sonics. That raw sound it's just addictive...

  • The Sonics are in full effect.

  • Yes, the Origins of The Hives, no doubt.

  • @ashetonpop for sure repackaged by efficient swedes with precise timing.

  • @ashetonpop you wouldnt have any white stripes either - of course you wouldnt have any sonics if you didnt have little richard and chuck berry and then again you wouldnt have any chuck berry without muddy waters or t bone walker and they wouldnt have been playin that stuff if it wasnt for... etc etc ad infinitum

  • @ashetonpop the origins of pretty much any great band right now haha. sooooo good

  • @p00phead14 "the origins of pretty much any great band right now haha"

Errr, none of them have the talent shown here ..... so really, keep it off the vids

  • @sclapione yeah these guys are amazing, but there's bands now that are not bad as well. this is a sonics video though, and that's what we all came to this page to watch, haha :)

  • @ashetonpop Why mention that shit one here ? Not comparable !

  • freedom highway

  • Your comments show how timeless good music is. No matter how longs it's been.

  • ehhmm could anybody send me the album... well im just 15 years old but i love it ^^ if you can send me the album please write me a mail or something like that to my youtube account so i will give you my icq number ;D thanks a lot =)

  • Get "download helper" and the firefox browser, or a similar program for whatever browser you use. You can get all of these in .FLV off youtube which plays in real player now. I think new versions of download helper can convert straight to MP3, either you do that, or you get a secondary converter (for Mac I use wondershare, for PC you have your pick of the litter of like a half dozen free ones).

  • Great song, great band - -thanks 4 great post.

  • First heard this live by the Fab T'Birds at a gig in Southampton, UK in '07. Nick Curran sang lead, backed by a great band.

Sadly that line up split, think at end of Euro tour that year(?).

Love Kim and any T'Bird line up he has (great at the mo), but miss this number by Nick.

    Like this :)

  • Greetings from the UK/London to

KOOLE0329 - 'T'Bird were....'? More like 'are'!! I know that, I saw them at the 100 Club, London in June 09. Been in love with Kim Wilson since I saw him in London in '89.x

I'd never heard this song before - think I might be too young lol!!

I'm in the UK so when I was a kid I was spoonfed on 'home grown' bands.

  • Oh yeah!

  • Fuck yeah!!

  • Scheisters from the Pac Northwest......I saw them a bunch of times around Seattle.....get real and check out our real local faves the Liverpool Five from England.....some of their stuff is showing up on You Tube,

  • pretentious douche-bag!

  • that was for godarttruffaut below...

  • u mean above xD

  • Im´m so greatful that my friend gave me a record of The sonics. They are so cool!

  • I hate myself for not getting hip to the sonics until recently.

  • same here. And for me, recently is like, yesterday.

  • These guys were the soundtrack for my youth! We would play their albums through a P.A. system with speakers hanging out my bedroom window while we played hoops in the driveway or worked on our cars. Like many kids of the day, we had a garage band that was inspired by the sound we heard from those vinyl LP's. Bob Bennett's drumming was as powerful as any rhythm maker I've ever heard and I still get that feeling I had then when I cue up "have Love Will Travel" or "Strychnine" on my IPod. REAL ROCK

  • you people should of seen them in the 60s oh man

  • awesooooooome !!!!! the new strychnines made awesome covers of the sonics

  • great song and great lyrics!

try 'the greenhornes - shot down' a great cover, in my opinion. Pls comment, like to hear what you say.

  • I am always looking for new music to listen to, preferably 'good' music. lololololol. This is a pretty good song.

  • This is not new music man.

  • Amazing band that should have a movie made about them!

  • I can't stop dancing whilst sitting on my sofa.

    I love the sonics.

  • best ever a buck ormsby production no doubt that band should have lived in newcastle they would have been as big as the animals j vincent edwards

  • Gotta love that sound!
