  • Red bull advertising:D

  • OMG this is amazing. True example of mastery over various Viola techniques...

  • wonderful!its nice when its played that fast

  • This is my favorite movement of this piece because it sounds so triumphant.

  • I wouldn not use the high positions on C string.

Violas are meant to be played rather in lower positions.

Very energic, just intonation instability at times. Very good violist!

PS. try to relax a little :)

  • theres no way violas are 'meant' to be played in that way. its personal taste, i prefer to play mine in higher postions, it sounds much better.

  • she looks pissed off... :-)

  • the piano should ajust himself to your dynamic not the other way around. the song is to be concetrated to the softer insterment when accumpaning someone else

  • @SCHUMANNasaSACRILEGE Well, this *is* Romantic music - you make it sound as though "unwitting anxious fecundity desiring release" is a BAD thing! ;D jks. I'm only teasing you because you thought writing like Umberto Eco would make you seem mature. Oops. That didn't work, did it? :P

I think the tempo and character are great. The acoustic makes the piano drown out the viola a but, though, which is a real shame.

  • tooo fast. mouvements name is lebhaft. okey lebhaft is living or active. but not rushing.

  • I cant hear u at all.

  • I think the balance is not too bad, though the piano is very forward, but the acoustic is too resonant, and that doesn't serve the viola well. It is very fast, but then 'Lebhaft' means 'lively', so the speed is up to the performer, and this is certainly lively. It's enjoyable, but there's a lack a clarity througout.

  • So cool i love the tempo. Whoever that pianist is needs to let you have the show! Don't take it personal

  • I think this tempo does change the feel, but I definite enjoy it. It gets the heart racing and the blood pumping!

  • piano needs to qieten down

  • I like it fast ;)

  • Beautiful!!

  • Good playing but way too fast. It was hard to enjoy it at such a fast tempo. I think the tempo even changed the style a bit as if it were written in a later time period.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm getting inspired myself.... who is this pianist, it's a bit crazy

  • you play well, but the pianist... *gets out gun* and the accustics (sp?) aren't all that great either...

  • I see this piece slower. Around 116-120. I think 140 is just too fast. Very nice playing, very relax, very beauctiful to watch. Amazing right arm. Thanks for posting!

  • she´s very generous in posting this videos, something out of common in a classical musician

  • Nice playing but work on pulling the sound more in the lower register. Much of your playing is too over the fingerboard. A big viola like yours should really be heard easily over the piano but you have to pull the sound out.

  • Very nice!

  • cau! tu maaciijies Daarzinjos, vai ne? :)

  • That's a weird question... I think I know a few jokes... :)

  • what is your stance on viola jokes?

  • x3 at my orchestra camp there was an improv thing, and one of them was "shortest book in the world" ..."What I learned playing viola" x3

  • Okay. The pianist is driving me crazy. I am about to scream if he keeps hammering away on a fff and keeps on covering the violist up in some sections. The thirds sound pretty well intune, but it is difficult to hear because the pianist insits on playing so freaking loud. TEMPO.. too fast. It is difficult to see where the violist is going with this. Lebhaft yes means fast, but this tempo is too fast. Pretty good overall performance.

  • i looove Marchenbilder!! hot bow arm, amazing left hand. i wish i was as relaxed as you!!

  • Absolutely fabulous! I love your double-stops and bow technique. I'm in awe.... Hooray violists!!

  • That's just totally amazing. Before listening to this, I'd only heard Yuri Bashmet perform the Lebhaft, but... Olga definitely brings more feeling and sound to it in my opinion.
