I know it works b/c occassionally, I'll forget to buy more and I'll have to shave without it. The shave is rough and painful. Trust me. It makes a big difference, especially if you have a heavy beard.

@underneaththeveneer If you have heavy beard as I got and you have to be shaved for work or university try the Braun 4775 Tricontrol....it works for me. The shaver is very cheap because it is an old design I paid for that 100 Argentinean Pesos. Excuse me for my English if I have mistakes..I am learning.

The Braun 4775 is an excellent product. Although my husband is bald the hair that he has left is very thick and the shaver that you mention is the only thing that works well as it has a setting that works like old style clippers.

The Zirh products are the best! However, I shave before I shower b/c the water makes my face feel better and you're assured of getting all the cream off your face. You just have to get the water in the sink really hot and hold a hot towel to your face before you shave. Also, there are only 2 options for razor burn: get an Rx lotion from a doctor and use it while you shave or have the hair in the problem area removed via laser. I did that to the hair on my neck and it worked great!
