This is almost like the Alt tracks from The Desert Sessions...this is one of my all time favs from QOTSA. The official version is really heavy/thick...this intro sort of takes away from that which is most likely why they changed it..

i like the beginning... after that it sounds just like the regular song with some cheap soundeffects. don't get me wrong, i like QOTSA, but this is in no way genius, perfect or brilliant. the original song is though :D

I think rather then a totally alternative mix or version of a song it was In the Fade version 1.whatever and then the one on the album is the final version, so without this one the one we have on the album could never have been derived.
