What model of Rickenbacker is John playing? It looks like a 330 or 360, but seems to have a vibrato tailpiece. Maybe a customized guitar? He's not getting as much sustain so is it perhaps a 12-string model? The headstock is hard to see.
The amp is the same as he used in his Premonition concert/video, I think.
Cool!
He mentions it being with him since Woodstock too so it makes sense this could be.

LOL not sure if top 5 in rock history, just because the are labeled under swamp rock. but still top 5 in my book. and who is the one ass that clicked dislike?
John's brother Tom died of a field mouse bit in Arizona [if I remember the right state], which carried a rare disease. CCR-Revisited, who I also saw live about 10 years ago, consisted of the other two band members Stu Cook, drummer & ?? other. CCR-Revisited & John Fogerty did NOT get along over copyright song issues, but the former band really did do a remarkably GREAT Rendition of the Original CCR. I also bought most of JF's later solo cd's & last I knew he & wife live in Ohio.LUV his Stuff
@membrane19 I saw CCR live at a racetrack in 1972. The bass literally thumped you in the chest and the ground rumbled. Back then for the concert PA systems they used folded horn speakers which are incredibly efficient and very powerful below 70Hz. These days they use easily-transportable line arrays which are gutless by comparison.
Oh man, those lyrics blow me away every time. Fogerty could really write... that line "Barefoot girl, dancing in the moonlight..." just blows me away every time. Awesome song.
in these days, no fluff and no flash like today;s gimmicks..no sir...in old school we just played with fingers and soul and voice!! and oh yea a good guitar and amp would do just fine!
@ottvalley Totally accurate. Fogarty was on a major creative bender those first 2 years. When did he write those first 3 albums? On that space ship he sung about?
The only Rock band that ever gave me some of the same feelings I get from listening to the great Mountain Music/Appalachian, Bluegrass, Old Time Country, and Country Blues musicians.
@fire9910 been a year since ur comment...what are ur thots now? U ain't altogether "wrong"...this IS one of the greats...still yunguns like urself have 1) unbiased views (a great thing) and 2) views that evolve. Tell us ur top 10 greatest if u would.
@fire9910 what r the other songs in ur top 10 (or 20)? All mine are from 60s to early 70s. With mebbe one elvis song and one buddy holly song thrown in there.
@fire9910 What does your age have to to with anything? You want fame and glory for appreciating good music? I hate comments like this, same with the dislike thing on every fucking video.
@TheSonicWinds fame and glory? someone stating how young they are just shows that 40 years later there are people who weren't even close to being born yet and still appreciate it. all it shows is that this music is timeless. with all the talentless garbage mainstream music pumped into these kids heads today it should be considered a miracle when a 15 year old knows who CCR is.
Fantastic CCR! Je suis un super-fan de ce groupe que j'ai découvert dans les années 70' sans jamais voir d'images, et aujourd'hui, avec You Tube et ses adeptes, le plaisir est total. Maururu, Thank you et Merci!
