I spend time every day just looking through new clip uploads from Elite, and sometimes a like our dislike will hinge off of the effort in the camerawork as well as the Jamesy, and i hold myself to those standards as well. Nothing gives me more pleasure to cast a positive vote for good clips. Hell, overwhelming positive editing has a better chance of a good vote over overwhelmingly great gameplay.

Standards WILL kill the cod community. If everyone hates on every single little thing then no ones stuff will be good enough and that means the end. OR! you could judge on 1)editing 2)skill 3)good old fashioned WOW moments and 4) the effort they put in. Or you can keep saying noob for using perks/equipment offered and complaining about split feeds and watch this community get buried. I'll stick with option A and enjoy the game

Completely agree with you bro, I think the standards are insane because of these clans with 30+ members posting quadfeeds daily. It's easy when you have that many people going for it. But if your most of us montages, (good montages) takes months. And they should. If you ask me Grizz does it right, record for 9 months, 3 part montages of INSANE clips from the year of playing.

Pred is a great gamer. he only puts out so many videos because if he didnt he knows people will complain about him not putting enough on youtube. also he got alot of views doing this on mw2 thats what got hime big so he thought it would be a great idea to do it again. i think those montages are great considering the game hasnt been out that long
you are never gonna appease everyone. U put together a buncha clips where you get 5 kills in fairly quick succession, do some great editing, you can make it fucking beautiful. And to me, i love noscopes. The whole luck aspect is what makes some of these clips so awesome. it makes montages unique. i can get 5 kills in quick succession with enough, but i cant get a cross map noscope with enough practice. Don't let the haters bring you down!

as long as there is variety from feeds to colats to trick shots to epic no scopes or randome tomohawks or tomohawk feeds. Plus u need some good editing and some good music. one of the problems w Predator is that is music is bland and like in his black ops clips they are all noscopes. If u put ur fav song tht makes u want to jump u will know what the editing would be like and what clips would go where.

I started up my channel recently and have gotten a lot of positive feedback, What makes me different? I always play the objecive, that it the #1 priority for me. I post a variety of MW3 content from spec ops, to MOAB gameplay, and all aspects of multiplayer. I would really appreciate it if you came by and took a look at my channel.
i dont think quad feeds are even cool, or even threads, the thin that stands out to me is fast pase sniping with very good accuracy, i would much rather see u kill 4 poeple without missing a shot than see a 4 person thread

anthything that's a quick 3 w/ perfect accuracy is an awesome clip in my eyes in ffa or snd and a good clip in every other gametype. and quadfeeds are awesome split or not.

I feel like you were speaking straight to me. I am making my "Inception" MW3 montage and I have a clip with 5 sniper kills in under 10 seconds, and the feed was actually split twice oddly enough.Thank you though, cause I am reassured about what I am putting in.
I have a 5 man feed but it looked really bad cause the names were long. I don't have a PVR or anything. Look up ItstheRipster. To see what I'm talking about.
First rule of montage kids is that theyre too judgmental and to be honest really basing clips off the feed? So you really cant let your gameplay stand for itself? cause its not as aesthetically pleasing? Leave aesthetics to editing and let the gameplay be its own compliment. 100% agree i hit a quad feed brocken 5 man feed yesterday but i mist a bullet in the middle the i hit a triple feed with nice quick scopes and i thought the 3 feed was better. Also i had played about 60 days of online and had never hit a triple because it takes just as much skill as it does to hit one kill, i musdt one of the most unluckiest people on cod though lol

Honestly, save clips that YOU think were sick, you shouldn't always be thinking 'O wait I cant use this clip because of invisible standards.' Yeah clean quad feeds and all are cool, but it gets a little boring when theres 4 minutes of it in a montage, that's why you want a variety of clips and guns, just mix it up a little who cares if you feed wasn't clean or you missed 1 shot? In montages, the editing and storyline can be just as important as the clips. Your channel, do what YOU want.
Yeah but like you said, a clean quadfeed food looks best compared to a split one, but takes no more skill. True but noscoping is all luck and people use them, its that combination of luck and skill that makes a montage good.
@Sprattyyy 100% agree... My main point of this commentary is that people (including me) try so hard to get clips up to "Sprattyyy" standard and fail over and over again and rage... which makes playing this game VERY frustrating. I'm trying my best not to worry about feeds as much and just enjoy playing. If i get a feed, then great, but if not..oh well..I think most people should do the same and stop raging. This commentary doesn't apply to you because you on another level my friend :)

The thing that makes me mad at OpTic Pred is becuz he's has 343,026 subs. He's up there for a reason! Becuz he's good. By putting out a montage with mediocre clips (at his level of skill, they were) like he did, shows he doesn't care. I get the fun thing but really? Do you see zzirGrizz do that? I'm sorry man, but this just seems so contradictory to what you have said to this point. You don't care about standards and what people expect, but you explicity preach the standards for you montage challenge thats going on. For people like me that don't have a full group to back them up standards are hard to get. There is no spawn trapping you just have to hope your team knows what they're doing. You should recognize skill even if that person is not in the form you want them right now.
so is spratt just incredibly lucky? lol..all of his clips are clean feeds, and if they're split he puts them in his scraps. But yeah i think the standard is changing, 4 man feeds are becoming the norm now o.o and 3 man feeds are only okay if they're collats
@PoweredByTheHaters yeah if standard were set lower like what pred did for his first montage, i should have put a montage of the exact same quality out a long time ago, ive thrown away a heck of alot of triple feeds and streaks and other stuff cause this whole time ive been trying to get clean quads and a triple collateral not just a double for "good" clips so i could have something i felt like i could be proud of and worth watching

Ive been trying to get the highest standard clips and if i get them in game they got lost --> (black ops throws alot of clips away cause of Theater Mode) then if i do get the clips recorded they look like crap. this whole thing with quality of clips is crap quality does matter i think fun is quality cause you can be proud of it. pred cant be proud of his first tage, the clips were weak.
Half of the kids saying montage clips are not up to par do not even make montages or go for clips they just post hate comments trying to put hard working, montage makers down.
The problem with montages is the people think it's a competition when really it should be about having fun and saving the things you want not some 12 year old who wants to see 10 man unbroken feeds or a 1080 yy noscope back flip ftw
A big part of the reason Pred gets so many views is that because he doesn't adhere to any strict standards and includes anything he finds awesome, and it consequently gives his videos a high fun factor. I remember a clip from one of his MW3 montages where he kills one guy, gets shot at from behind, and then spins around and noscopes his attacker. A quad feed? No. A fun clip we wouldn't have gotten to see if he adhered to these standards? Hell, yeah.

I feel like you were speaking straight to me. I am making my "Inception" MW3 montage and I have a clip with 5 sniper kills in under 10 seconds, and the feed was actually split twice oddly enough.Thank you though, cause I am reassured about what I am putting in.

First rule of montage kids is that theyre too judgmental and to be honest really basing clips off the feed? So you really cant let your gameplay stand for itself? cause its not as aesthetically pleasing? Leave aesthetics to editing and let the gameplay be its own compliment. Seriously if it makes that much difference learn to mask and highlight your feed in editing or something geeze. nice gameplay btw

100% agree i hit a quad feed brocken 5 man feed yesterday but i mist a bullet in the middle the i hit a triple feed with nice quick scopes and i thought the 3 feed was better. Also i had played about 60 days of online and had never hit a triple because it takes just as much skill as it does to hit one kill, i musdt one of the most unluckiest people on cod though lol

my standards are
1 day to 3 weeks recording time - triple feeds, noscopes, OG/simple trickshots, throwing knives across map etc, anything that looks nice
4 weeks + recording time - quadfeeds (if i get any) , large stackups, large multikills, headshot feeds etc

Honestly, save clips that YOU think were sick, you shouldn't always be thinking 'O wait I cant use this clip because of invisible standards.' Yeah clean quad feeds and all are cool, but it gets a little boring when theres 4 minutes of it in a montage, that's why you want a variety of clips and guns, just mix it up a little who cares if you feed wasn't clean or you missed 1 shot? In montages, the editing and storyline can be just as important as the clips. Your channel, do what YOU want.

Yeah but like you said, a clean quadfeed food looks best compared to a split one, but takes no more skill. True but noscoping is all luck and people use them, its that combination of luck and skill that makes a montage good.

My main point of this commentary is that people (including me) try so hard to get clips up to "Sprattyyy" standard and fail over and over again and rage... which makes playing this game VERY frustrating. I'm trying my best not to worry about feeds as much and just enjoy playing. If i get a feed, then great, but if not..oh well..I think most people should do the same and stop raging. This commentary doesn't apply to you because you on another level my friend :)

The thing that makes me mad at OpTic Pred is becuz he's has 343,026 subs. He's up there for a reason! Becuz he's good. By putting out a montage with mediocre clips (at his level of skill, they were) like he did, shows he doesn't care. I get the fun thing but really? Do you see zzirGrizz do that? I wanna watch OpTic Pred video knowing he's have like 8 quad feeds, 4 triples, and maybe a quad lol He should just take time to get clips instead of push them out every three days

I loved MW2 and i loved QS on it but i took a break of COD cos i hated black ops and just generally didnt play FPS for like 6 months then i jump back on for MW3 and suddenly am as good as a i ever was mayeb even better and a bunch of my friends who previously couldnt snipe for shit are doin alright so wtf it feels easier to snipe on this game but im not sayin it takes any less skill jus that its easier to jump back in to somehow?!

I'm sorry man, but this just seems so contradictory to what you have said to this point. You don't care about standards and what people expect, but you explicity preach the standards for you montage challenge thats going on. For people like me that don't have a full group to back them up standards are hard to get. There is no spawn trapping you just have to hope your team knows what they're doing. You should recognize skill even if that person is not in the form you want them right now.

@PoweredByTheHaters yeah if standard were set lower like what pred did for his first montage, i should have put a montage of the exact same quality out a long time ago, ive thrown away a heck of alot of triple feeds and streaks and other stuff cause this whole time ive been trying to get clean quads and a triple collateral not just a double for "good" clips so i could have something i felt like i could be proud of and worth watching

Ive been trying to get the highest standard clips and if i get them in game they got lost --> (black ops throws alot of clips away cause of Theater Mode) then if i do get the clips recorded they look like crap. this whole thing with quality of clips is crap quality does matter i think fun is quality cause you can be proud of it. pred cant be proud of his first tage, the clips were weak.

A big part of the reason Pred gets so many views is that because he doesn't adhere to any strict standards and includes anything he finds awesome, and it consequently gives his videos a high fun factor. I remember a clip from one of his MW3 montages where he kills one guy, gets shot at from behind, and then spins around and noscopes his attacker. A quad feed? No. A fun clip we wouldn't have gotten to see if he adhered to these standards? Hell, yeah.
