But from Finnish perspective, if we weren't "a little faschist" back in the day we would have lost our independence - we didn't want to be part of the Soviet Union and we did everything we could to keep our freedom - in Continuation War Mannerheim attempted to get the land back that was stolen from us in Winter War. We didn't do anything honourless.

You don't understand what I'm saying. You can make an escort tank and call it an IFV and everybody will go around calling it an IFV even though its real role and its construction (huge 2man turret, only 6-7 soldiers, large size, ATGM) fill the role of an escort tank. What today called in "IFV" is a merging of two roles in one vehicle: a real IFV and an escort tank.

The unit I was with had 9 man squads, that consists of the Squad Leader, two Fireteam leaders, two Riflemen, two Grenadiers, and two Automatic Riflemen. In most cases the Squad Leader was hardly around the Squad itself and the teams were almost autonomous.

Every tank unit needs support from IFV's and APC (infantry) without it it will fail. The CV9040 has a 40mm gun and it's protected against 30mm a/p rounds. There are many IFV's with this capability. The bradley and other IFV's has anti tank / air missiles integrated to.

Its not build around an infantry squad like an M113 derivative like the IFVL or similar. Its trying to merge two types of vehicles into one which ends up sucking at both roles.
@DrewMC36 It was called a tank battle but there was a infantry to. They walked next to the tanks. In modern day combat this is impossible. WWII tanks had a top speed of 30 km p/h and in ruff terrain only 20 km ph. Now the have a speed of 70 km ph so they need APC. A tank is much different now so you actualy can't call WWII tanks a tank there more a heavy infantry vehicle. But the cv9040 is a IFV it has only a 40mm gun and many WWII tanks had the 60 or 88mm gun

@gosciu555 No the CV90 is by far closer to an IFV rather than a tank. According to Bofors, BAE Hägglunds and the Swedish Armed Forces, it's an IFV.
