I do like the idea of the video and the way you realized it, I don't know so much about this kind of music but I found it really hypnotizing to watch and listen at the same time. what did you use to make it?
@JordiSmulders I'm not doubting Aidan's knowledge or experience or whatever the hell you worship him for. I know what music is, and I know what multi-talented musicians can compose (See: Steven Wilson). The only difference is that I could listen to my air compressor and get as much enjoyment out of it. Listening to noise does NOT make you a music connoisseur.

Anybody can make up a melody, but creating a soundscape wich can make 22581 people give more or less the same feeling, is craftmanship. That you don't have good taste is another issue.
Music's purpose is to evoke emotion. Ambient is about atmosphere. Atmosphere evokes emotions. Thus ambient equals music.
It just doesn't have to evoke emotions that we already know. There are 6000 known emotions. No one said there aren't more of them. The only way to define it is with such music.

I find this video otherwordly beautiful. Fits the music perfectly. I'd call it Art. Consider me a huge fan from now, who's always looking forward to any other work of yours. Pure bliss, really.

@andrewalmarine Thanks *) We made some loops, than I applied granular synthesis concept to the video. I made this with Processing. Love to think of Nadja's music as some kind of asphyxia.

Why? Yoy didn't like it? That was my very first experience with granular video synthesis, and I didn't have any pro equipment. Find Nadja's music choke and static, have tried to show it with this somehow.
