Nicely articulated, a very good review. I loved this film despite all the negative reviews. Jodelle Ferland's performance is flawless and beautiful. Guilliam's second best I think after Brazil.

I LOVED Tideland and all Terry Gilliam's films. I love films that take me completely out of any predictability and away from commercial cliches. This film was a mindfck but a strangely wonderful intense one. The little girl should have been given a BEST ACTRESS OSCAR. Absolutely incredible performance. Terry please keep making these original works of art. The non-comformist need you.

I really enjoyed this movie, it's among my all-time favorites. It made me uncomfortable and I squirmed in my chair, but I think that was what Gilliam intended.

She was really nice and sweet. Sissy spacek was also there the movie called ''the pictures of hollis woods''. It was a great movie in the end . They filmed it in Duncan,Sindey,Victoria,and some other places and the movie was edited in Vancover and some other places =p.

GREAT ! Yes Grimm was disappointing but slightly better the 2nd time when expectations weeren't so high. But Tideland blew my mind. Deeply moving, surreal, disturbing and inventive. Terry is back. I hope he can continue to shock and awe despite corporate strangling

No, I don't mean to start a fight, but you're wrong. Jodelle's first STARRING role was in "Mermaid" in 2000. Trust me, I ran Jodelle's official fansite for 2 years and I know the Ferlands personally. I have her official resume, and "Tideland" was also a STARRING role, but she had 2 before that ("Mermaid" and "Christmas Child"). If you download her official resume, you'll see I'm right. ;)
