State-based socialism, as we see in Europe and Canada, is ultimately capitalist in nature, as it still appropriates surplus value through taxation and through owning the means of production themselves. Because these governments are supposedly democratic they claim that "the people" own it, but of course thats bullshit.

Its true, it all depends on the target audience he's addressing, he risks miscommunication and causing confusion amongst the people there if they are not grammatically inclined as well. Besides you have to remember that slang and PROPER english are both in themselves distinct forms of language, language that is difficult to comprehend and learn if one is not familiar with or raised around it.
