  • Hi adding a comment about the brand and power of the motor would be appreciated.

Not stupid, just don't have hours trawling the net to find them.

  • @callmeshane303 Currie 1000w 36v 32amp.

  • @callmeshane303 BMC is similar and thesuperkids(com) have it in brushless. Good price too

  • @callmeshane303 They have some interesting new motors lately

  • Whats the range?

  • @portland1987 Around 30kms at 32km/h (No pedaling) Less with more speed, more with higher AH. Batteries and pedal assist. There is 20ah version that is relatively the same size and weight of these batteries that I use at 18 ah.

  • where was the motor mounted?

  • @benjamin1254 In front and above the front pedals.

  • @benjamin1254 At the end of the video you get a good view of it.

  • lmao dunno why but its funny

  • @WackyTaBackyHappy You should have seen peoples reactions!

  • the music on this vid is WAY too loud and equally obnoxious

  • Why are you not both wearing helmets?

    Unbelieveable

  • Gas engines suck! Hahahaha!

  • Gas engines are around 20% efficient.. Most of humanity is satisfied with 20% efficient. Most people are satisfied with shit. I see it all the time, on youtube too.

  • We are an innefficient unsustainable human race.. Slowly contaminating just about everything. While 1 person tries to make a difference 10 other destroy that difference.. If you can't win, you might as well join?

  • @luc59457 typical ignorance..clueless braindead moron who believes anything your liberal media gods tell you...the only thing wrong with the human race is YOUR kind

  • @DNM35 Come back when you have a useful argument. Cheers! =)

  • I can't see very well the engine, so it means its insanely tiny and still can move you too lol, that's awesome. I've been searching more about electromagnetic engines, i was wondering, do they exist?

  • @albinowolf2 so does your grandma

  • @DNM35 But surely, my grandma doesn't come to YOUR grandma's job and knock the cocks out of her mouth!

  • is the motor in the front wheel?

  • No.. Can't you see it?

  • interesting bike.... might want to consider wearing helmets... especially when working with prototypes.

  • You should wear a helmet no matter what, prototype or not.

  • I didn't in this one but I usually do.

  • holy thats fast

  • how do u make and power one of these??

  • Look through my videos and you will learn more.

  • I used to ride motorcycles. But now ride racing bikes and mountain bikes.

I would like to get an electric motor bike. You people are ambassadors to green technology.

If you used lithion batteries, that would even be better?

Electric motors are far more efficient per weight and size to their fuel counterpart.

    What about magnetic technology?

  • Yes, lithium iron phosphate are the best right now. Lithium ion polymer Have higher capacity but can be dangerous... LifeP04's are usually more expensive but are known as safe batteries... They have better capacity per AH than S.L.A's also... I just used SLA's as a starter, it makes a more affordable presentation and it's safe also.

  • As for magnet technology, I have seen some stuff, I am not yet to comment on it... When it comes to magnets, there is a lot of skepticism from what I have seen. I rather them stay on my fridge for now. Perhaps you are aware of something I am not.

  • Can it be that there is no money to be made from magnetic technology?

And so this is where all the skepticism starts?

North north and south south always repel.

They say with the magnets they will eventually lose momentum. But has your fridge magnet ever fallen off?

There is also a weight factor when using on bikes. But maybe for larger projects a way of keeping batteries charged as per momentum.

  • That is correct, rare earth magnets can last up to 400 years, after about 100 in which there begans to be a noticeable difference. If anything, yes the skepticism starts with whether it is worth the investment or not, especially in these times. Even electric can be hard to invest in while many people already have car payments, and other expenses in life. However, electric is the most affordable and performing alternative thus far.

  • YO LuC quick question man... I came across a few packs of 24v NiMH that I can run in parallel to get 16ah (24v @16ah). Or do a series and parallel for 48v @ 8ah.

With that 36v Currie what do you think will be the max speed and distance of each setup?

  • Depends on the Controller ratings you would be using for each battery setup. Look at it this way, with 18Ah Lifep04's you would get more distance than the same of S.L.A's. To have the same Performance as you see in my videos, you can get 20AH LifeP04's at PingBattery for 470$USD. This will offer more range than what I get from new S.L.A's, 30Kms Distance at 32km/h. I am sure it will be "at least" 5kms more at the speed of 32km/h.

  • 36v 20ah for 470$.

  • With18Ah, NiMH you will also get more distance than S.L.A's, using the same controller

  • this currie motor is a amazing motor

    36v 1000 WATT FOR less than $150!!!!!!

for less than $800 project is lots of fun

holping to see your next project

  • this is our future !!!!! LOL

becareful don't fry the motor like that

you are pulling tooo much weight

  • I agree. At 30km/h that tiny motor would have no problems for a full ride. Its a tought little motor and the ratio is super easy to pedal. I have to place it on 8th gear to pedal around 20km/h without assistance.

  • Awesome, I can just imagine pulling my noob twin sisters around town like that... lol.

  • DUDE ! I think ya finaly got it ! You know every one is gonna want to build or buy one now

  • WoW ... that's some power!!! Can't wait 2 start my project (the only hold up for me now is money and time)!!!
