Please please don't mention their name in the same sentence as lacrimosa. They murdered lacrimosa and hid the remains in the woods. I hate what they done to it
Actually the score often used for the Lacrymosa is just in part written by Mozart! (and has gone through many revisions). I too find the other movements even more compelling, for example the Domine Jesu, or the Hostias, at the end "fac eas...."
LOL i love how everyone listens to lacrymosa and not so mant pple listen to the other movments of requiem people should get to know the whole requiem not just one movement no matter how good that one movement may be as good as lacrymosa is i prefer kyrie & deis irae to it
Same here Kyrie is my all time favourite movement and Dies Irae...I also love this one too Domine Jesu...It's kind of sucky how people only listen to Lacrimosa and then judge their love of Mozarts Requiem on that...They should really listen to it all before judging it...
i jus got into classical music.. now i like most forms of metal, classical and techno! and i do prefer deis irae to most oft he stuff ive heard so far
Mozart lives in the music.(I hate American interpretations.)

Requiems of Mozart are by far the best requiems ever written and some of the best pieces of real music

his ONE requiem is one of the greatest works of music. You should listen to it from start to finish. I guarantee you'll be a fan.

Personally, I think this movement is way better than the Lacrymosa. It is defintely one of the jewels of this Requiem.
