I guess I don't know how to describe it. Its kind of sad, after playing Roxas, I realized how bland a character Sora was. Don't get me wrong I still like the spikyhaired goof, but Roxas seems to have more depth and character to him. He had conflicts, and he made you care about him. Sora was just your run of the mill rpg hero. I really wanted to keep playing as Roxas, the end of the tutorial with him had me going "DON'T GO!" at the end. T_T When a game makes you really care about a character's outcome, then the creator did his job well.

@VanilleAlistair sora got turned into a heartless game one, making his nobody : roxas. giving him some of her strength, kairi revived him, which shouldn't happen, creating Namine out of the sacrifice, and giving namine powers, so she's not technically a nobody. The strain of "two" bodies on one soul was too much, and DIZ knew sora HAD to get roxas back or they'd both dissapear, so he made the fake world of roxas to slowly reform sora. Simple. Namine can help cuz of the hug thing, she's tied.

When sora unlocks his heart, kairi's return to her body while Sora become a heartless and thus Roxas is born /The chains of memory cant be fixed as Roxas got some of Sora's lock memory and it gets even worse when Xion appears as it is split to 1/6 of sora's memory. The fake Tw. town is to make sure to keep Roxas bz while the memory restoration takes place.

@godofwarrocksman im in the middle of playing through them again, if you take note of everything thats said through out them all you will notice xion is a nobody, roxas name is close to sora's but if you remember xemnas gave him that name, probably to stop him from remembering who he is, also says in most of the games that xemnas was looking for a room at co, and that when he found it he found someone in there, if youve played birth by sleep you'd know that was ventus that was found

As for roxas, is true that roxas has ventus powers allowing him to dual wield but the reason that he is sora's Nobody due to them sharing the same memory. Eveb Ansem says so. Further prove of . Currently Vent is in a state like Kairi in KH1. But since he doesnt have a heartless he cannot have a Nobody. Try reading the wikia pages
