I'm posting from my wifes account. This video is just marvellous. Bravo. It's a damn shame that the Gazette hasnt given this issue, amongst many others, enough attention.

It appears as though they are always extremely hesitant to report ANYTHING that has a negative vibe towards the council in general.

Many thanks Stefan, the EG is part of the establishment. The people can have their say so long as they are kept in their place. If they challenge authority with real effect - this film and the Coatham film were shown in Parliament in 2009 but the EG ran no story - they are silenced. i'm ashamed to admit that i voted for mallon in his bid to be this towns mayor.

it turns out this guy is a shifty conniving treacherous total piece of shit that i am convinced has no regard for middlesbrough and it's people.

i also suspect him of being bribed by certain building contractors to allow them to build yet more home for the wealthy,why else would he go against the wishes of the local community?

mallon is a snake and let us all remember this at his re-election.

aftger reading the evening gazette today im pleased to note the felling work has stopped for the moment, however as usual the council spin machine has come into action saying it is listening to residents and plans to start work later in the year, they never listened before why they listening now? A small sucess for the campaign however a somewhat empty one if the council gets their much longed for signature from yuill homes to build, we need to keep up the pressure so it doesnt happen.

You are right it is empty and has NOTHING to do with listening to the people - we have won the moral battle, exposed and discredited them. It is all about them having to cap their spending until the end of the financial year. So they can't spend it on felling trees and maintaining the fence hire. And then in April it is bird nesting season which means it is illegal to fell anything until the autumn.

Mallon should be brought to account for his actions during his tenure as mayor, the best way to do this is to vote for an alternative. I think Middlesbrough Council as a whole has to take some responsibility for the free reign Mr Mallon has over this borough, they had the power before he was elected to set limits to his power under various acts of parliament that affect Local Government,

they chose not to and now are unable to change it for future holders of the post Shame on him and them

I'm sure if I was in a position to buy housing of this type I would want somewhere with land around me and pleasant views of the incredible scenery that we have here in teesside, If no other suitable land could be sought for a development of housing stock inMiddlesbrough then the land should have been given over to social housing groups to build affordable quality homes for the many people in Middlesbrough that have to turn to private landlords and pay above markets rents

Apart from giving executive member approval to planning applications of his friends and making a cringeworthy aside to camera during the filming of a documentary about his friends rise to retail "lordship" within the town, I fail to see what the electorate of Middlesbrough are getting for their money. I would be interested to see how many of these new homes are actually sold to the so called executives of Middlesbrough,

I find it hard to believe that in this country one man can over rule the interests of a democracy, when Mallon came to power it was understood that he would improve crime in Middlesbrough, improve the town centre and all suburban developments so that they become more attractive and socially cohesive places to live, improve the transport network including better performance by public transport and give what he called a better outlook and improved prospects for the people of the borough....cont

This is shocking and this is unacceptable! No, its heartbreaking! Im disgusted by the lot of them and will be forwarding the links to these videos to EVERYONE I know, both here and abroad!!!!

Cowardly and hypocritical conmen, thats all they appear to be. Is there no legal recourse?

Mallon, White and their minions do not deserve the positions they hold and should be replaced by people who actually have a clue what theyre doing!

The hypocrisy of Mallon and his council is astounding. It shouldn't even be relevant whether it had been earmarked for developement or not. The fact is, there are many areas (without the natural beauty of Longridge) in Middlesbrough that can be developed for housing anyway.

Next time a survey votes Middlesbrough as the worst town to live in the UK, I hope Mallon isn't so incredulous.
