There is not second or third Jesus, only one and only, which is represented to us by His Church. The problem with Satan is that instead of representing blatant evil like a "Darth Vader" of sorts,he often approaches like a "Yoda"....spreading his special message of "enlightenment." Chopra is a great example of a modern day gnostic, talking about finding our "divine self within" This philosophy is so old and tired it would be almost laughable if it were not directly opposed to the message of the cross,where the price was paid to give man access to the God of reality,who saves and condemns.
I believe every Religious Studies teacher should read this book. If I had read it 30 years ago my life would have been different. For the first time I realize how the dogma of organised religion instilled into me as a child has resulted in my living a life of fear... Deepak has been put on this earth at this time for a reason.

What is this book all about? Is this just another way for Deepak to make money? Making money is the full time job of the greedy ego. A truly God realized being who has totally erased his or her ego will not be bothered about writing a book to make money. Chopra has set himself opposed to the Christian Church and ridicules the Christian every opportunity he gets. His books, videos and lectures are filled with lies and half truths and he vigorously capitalizes on peoples ignorance and gullibility. Instead of being forced to follow the rules or face punishment in some unseen time, the messages in the mystical sense lead one directly to a state of union with the divine, where the kingdom of heaven is seen as an ever present reality, over looked in our state lostness in this world and in our own minds. This same message exists in every mystical tradition, be it Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Paganism, Judaism, or whatever. Look into it and you'll see that this is the case. ;)

Also to them Christ's message is a message of living salvation, not a salvation that can only come after death. Salvation meaning the complete undoing of sin in one's self, not being saved from the effects of sin.
Deepak and many other people have rediscovered the stories of Christ as a mystical teaching meant to awaken the innate divinity in themselves as the stories in that form were meant to do. The gospels are as capable of having this effect as any other because they contain essential truths common to many different spiritual teachings.
Although the Catholic authority fought hard to ensure that nothing of the old forms of Christianity remained, archeology, anthropology, and history have retained enough information about Gnosticism and other early forms of Christianity for us to have a good idea of what they entailed and thus to be able to understand what those Christians were teaching.
What then ensued was a slow process of elimination of other available forms of Christianity. The Gnostics and their documents were declared heresies and what followed were forced conversions, excommunications(i.e. banishment from Rome), and in some cases extermination. The church and the state of Rome became one with the Catholic church replacing the old order of empire with a new one, that of a religious authority that acted as government to the failing empire and eventually to all of Europe.
The Gnostics were Greek and Hebrew in origin and lived throughout the Middle East and Mediterranean. They were one of a few groups of early Christians. The stories they told were based upon a man named Jeshua Ben Joseph who was killed by the Hebrew authorities around 88 B.C.E. Later another group of Christians, the Catholics, started teaching a select number of these stories as literal and went on to form the Catholic church, canonizing the gospels as the only valid teachings of Christianity.
Deepak takes a Gnostic approach to the story of Jesus. The Gnostics were a group of Christians who came before the Catholics and taught Jesus stories as parables to teach enlightenment; realizing "God" as one's deepest self. Jesus was the character they used in their stories to illustrate a man realizing himself(and all things) as being one with God, as thus attained Christ-hood. In becoming Christ, the man Jesus is left behind and only God within the form of that physical vehicle remains.

I like the thought that before war becomes out of control this Christ Consciousness can unify peace into victory. WE ARE the Third Jesus. Our return and His Return Unite our Father who created the heavens and the earth. Soon, Clocks Stop. Then when is 2012. Feel it in your heart, today. Invite the seed to grow into a big branched tree. You reading, starts the process. Time will still come, dead or alive. So live with Christ Inside.
