Nice Video. I really liked your video youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have build 3 channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
4. She is not in any position to guarantee anything at this stage. I'm sure that the project managers and developers would love her if she started making promises like that.
Sorry just my take as a decision maker who buys this kind of solution.
3. Selling is not ALL about "save money" it is about solving a problem that the client has - for example the integration between multiple systems, data transformation and translation, orchestration of business systems, knowing at what stage business processes are at...
2. It involves planning and not a 15 minute sell sell sell, I'd want to have the sales person do a full presentation - to have done some research on my company and the existing systems, and to have brought in someone with at least a modicum of technical knowledge.
1. Showing case studies is a reinforcement to the sale, try explaining what exactly BizTalk does for a company, how it integrates with other systems and what the client will need to do in order to get their existing infrastructure to a point where they can implement it.
It might work for advertising or consumer sales - but certainly not for an environment which involves planning and budgeting; we are not talking buying off the shelf - there is development costing, training, ensuring we have the systems in place to enable BizTalk.
Evidently she didn't research it enough - I am sorry but as a decision maker I would have suffered her wall of SELL for 15 minutes and then shown her the door.
This is not how you sell a solution - too much hard sell and being closed down to make a decision now, now, now!
With the greatest of respect - she is clueless, she has been taught a formulaic method of hard sell which quite frankly is inappopriate for the business sector she is trying to sell into.
There are many different ways of selling, selling a swimming pool is different to selling cosmetics to selling software and to selling software solutions.

Thanks for the comment. My students select and research the project on thier own. So I have no way of verifying the accuracy of all 17 projects.
My main goal is to teach selling. I hope that they learn their product as well.
So how should the product be sold.
