  • Save my education, please.

  • Record setting tuition increases+ Record high of students enrolled at UH Manoa+ Cutting departments+ Cutting research funding+ The firing of most non-tenured faculty= Budget Crisis?

I love UH, I'm so happy that I'll be leaving here with my BS soon, and want to come back for grad school, but these budget cuts are getting ridiculous.

I really hope that the faculty strikes. SOMETHING needs to be done.

  • Lingle, Hinshaw and Greenwood need to GTFO!

It is such a shame what they are doing to UH Manoa. The affliction will linger long and painfully in Hawai'i.

So far in this recession, Hawaii, led by Lingle's government, is the only state that refuses to diversify its economy, AND make higher education its sacrificial lamb. What a sham!

Students, we can't let this happen! Voice your anger and complaint, let them know that those in power cannot abuse their power. Question their motives!

  • great voice over .... !

  • I'm a student of UHManoa. Let's go on a strike!

This will not only affect the professors but the students of UH and our future.

  • These numbers are made even worse by the fact that Hawaii now has the highest housing costs in the entire country. Gov. Lingle and the administration at UH are going to kneecap this institution, and in the process they are going to send us in a downward spiral by encouraging quality faculty to leave, by discouraging new faculty to take jobs here, and by taking away any and all financial security from the key workers of the state's 3rd biggest economic engine. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
