  • it's a lot easier and more fun to draw the designs from your own imagination. and the 'free motion foot' isn't necessary. I've been drawing with my sewing machine for 7years. check out my youtube channel: pnosa

  • did she say "Stippling foot"? I need on of those!!

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I am looking for a sewing machine that I can use for monogramming free hand and computerized as well (a used machine is my Preference), which machine(s) would you recommend?

  • Ugg, I just looked it up and I found them to be $24.00 at most :(

  • Actually, I live in Canada and yesterday I went searching for one. I was able to find a "generic" freehand foot for $11.94, NOT BAD! It works perfectly and I am really happy I got it!

  • the one I got was $20. But maybe it depends on the model of the machine? I have a Brother. I just got one today to try this out :D

  • this is so rad!

  • hahah polos!!

dudes, make some suspenders please, that wu be excellent

  • How do you sew without having the thread go through the entire t-shirt? How does it only stitch the top layer of the t-shirt?

  • You only put the top part(or whatever part of the shirt yr sewing on)on the needle shelf. Theres normally a middle shelf on the sewing machine where you divide the shirt in 2 so that its going in the middle of the shirt so that yr only sewing the front of the shirt, or whatever.

Did that make sense? Sorry if it didnt :/

  • Your inspiration has changed my way of life. And it all started with the Rachel Ray show!! ha ha ha.... I don't even watch her anymore. hmmm

  • I'm a big girl, so do you think you could do something for the curvier ladies out there?

  • thats so pimp!

  • do you guy's have any ideas for polos with school logo's on them because I'm changing schools next year and I don't want to where a shirt with my old school on it

  • You could use that embroidery idea to make a patch to go over your old school logo by using some fabric off an old shirt. Or you could print out your new schools logo and sew it on using that idea above.

  • thanks I'll try that

  • bomb. loved this episode. love love love your show. keep up the good work.

I have tons of old rock and roll t-shirts, that are hardly wearable anymore, what can I do with them? Any tank tops (not halters) that could be made with them?

  • i had that problem too

what i like to do is cut out the logo and sew it to a newer t shirt it adds a punky style also i make them into purses pretty easy and neat way to not have to part from them :)

  • hey i was wondering if you could help i have some pj bottoms and pant that have hole in them and i had an idea to make them into pillow covers for my bed i was wondering if you could show me how to make one and what i will need

  • i think the point was that she didn't want to wear the polos and would rather recycle them.... but i guess it helped other people, and maybe she can make some of these and sell em.

  • I want one of those sewing machine foots!

    . . . AWESOME . . .

  • feet*

  • Perhaps you can try it with a regular foot. It's not so hard. You just need to move the fabric a bit dexterously for curves and for direction changes of straight lines, make sure the needle pierces through the fabric and use this spot as turning point when you move the fabric underneath the then lifted machine foot around. So: wait till needle pierces, lift foot, turn fabric, but back foot onto fabric. This will do until you can get a freehand foot (what a word!).

  • Corrine's (I am very sorry if that is spelled wrong) has very long hair now!

  • man if my school had a uniform i wish it would be red black and white. That way i could aways look like a fan of the white stripes(which i am).
