it's a lot easier and more fun to draw the designs from your own imagination. and the 'free motion foot' isn't necessary. I've been drawing with my sewing machine for 7years. check out my youtube channel: pnosa
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I am looking for a sewing machine that I can use for monogramming free hand and computerized as well (a used machine is my Preference), which machine(s) would you recommend?
Actually, I live in Canada and yesterday I went searching for one. I was able to find a "generic" freehand foot for $11.94, NOT BAD! It works perfectly and I am really happy I got it!
Hello EXCELLENT WORK, WHERE I CAN BUY THE PIECE TO USE HER IN MY MACHINE. I LIVE IN CARACAS VENEZUELA, HAVE ACCESS TO MIAMI. DO I FIND THE PIECE IN FLOWERY?
You only put the top part(or whatever part of the shirt yr sewing on)on the needle shelf. Theres normally a middle shelf on the sewing machine where you divide the shirt in 2 so that its going in the middle of the shirt so that yr only sewing the front of the shirt, or whatever.
Polo Shirt gal needs to consult Megan Nicolay's book Generation T to tear up those Polos into something better. Love Girl Popcorn's embroidery tho' but I guess Polo Shirt gal really hates those Polos.
Make grocery bags ot of them and then sell them at school! Theres always a charity or school program who needs the money! If schools still have a sewing class, they would do the sewing for you if you ask nice!lol
Does anyone know where I can find somewhere similar to Treehouse Brooklyn in London??? I know plenty of vintage stores near Portabello Road etc but they are way over priced and its getting harder and harder to find anything original!
i agree with yorkiejoy2 i have a million and ten notebooks. theyre all real blah. i tried stickers and that didn't really last all that long. while ur at it, i have a bunch of binders that are really dull too...think you could help??
hey guys i love ur stuff.how about you show us how to take large pants that dont fit and making them just the right size? my body is odd and i can neer find anything that fits.
man, i would have told her to make dresses out of it, tent dresses... she did say .. "i really don't like polos" ... so you showed a video of how to spruce up a polo? ... hmm .
i knew i recognized Rob. he was on an old show where they build contraptions out of junk.i forget the name of it but it was "_______ junkyard" or "junkyar _______".
PLEASE USE THIS!!! I love the goth/punk style, but the cloths are so expensive, plus i can't sew, how can i make this kind of stuff out of walmart and target cloths?
wonderful. i would love to use this technique in making a kimono top with a dragon image or multiple dragons or even lotus flowers or cherry blossoms. thank you.
do you guy's have any ideas for polos with school logo's on them because I'm changing schools next year and I don't want to where a shirt with my old school on it
You could use that embroidery idea to make a patch to go over your old school logo by using some fabric off an old shirt. Or you could print out your new schools logo and sew it on using that idea above.
you guys are awesome!! i saw your video on how to make a backpack outta your old doll...but i cant find a video on how to make a cool custom backpack..out of like old fabric and stuff...the stuff out there is cool..but i know diy'ed ones would be great!
how to make costum fitted gloves would be AWSOME! gloves are HOT.. at least, on anime' people. or at least the ones in my mind that i just made to see what the gloves would look like. i'm being wierd..
I have tons of old rock and roll t-shirts, that are hardly wearable anymore, what can I do with them? Any tank tops (not halters) that could be made with them?
what i like to do is cut out the logo and sew it to a newer t shirt it adds a punky style also i make them into purses pretty easy and neat way to not have to part from them :)
loved this video.I asked for more on embellishing and you did!!! It would be great if you could show us more on machine feet and what they can help us make ( ruffler, beading, ribbon, elastic etc..)Love your videos. By the way I made the scoodie and it was an instant hit with some of my friends.I was going to make some for them ..then decides to send them to your site so they can DIY ,well DIT lol. Thanks
hey i was wondering if you could help i have some pj bottoms and pant that have hole in them and i had an idea to make them into pillow covers for my bed i was wondering if you could show me how to make one and what i will need
i think the point was that she didn't want to wear the polos and would rather recycle them.... but i guess it helped other people, and maybe she can make some of these and sell em.
Perhaps you can try it with a regular foot. It's not so hard. You just need to move the fabric a bit dexterously for curves and for direction changes of straight lines, make sure the needle pierces through the fabric and use this spot as turning point when you move the fabric underneath the then lifted machine foot around. So: wait till needle pierces, lift foot, turn fabric, but back foot onto fabric. This will do until you can get a freehand foot (what a word!).
