@princessfatima1 Why ? She is only the "alleged" mother of a child born out of wedlock with him. Nothing has been proved about the paternity of this child.
He was fond of cocaine and other men, and that makes me fond of him. He was handsome to boot. I've read that he plane was taken out on purpose to get rid of him.
In this clip, at 3:59 Princess Marina is wearing the most famous of all Norwegian sweaters, the black and white pattern of Setesdal, a region of Norway. Considering the Duchess of Kent was considered one of the great fashionistas of her day this is a great compliment to this garment which is still very popular in Norway and around the world.
Very, very handsome. Noel Coward (and of course Princess Marina) was very lucky. I especially like the less formal pictures where his hair isn't shellaced to his head.
A dashing Prince, well honored here. His marriage to a scion of the House of Greece ( and hence, Denmark ) rendered the Kent branch of today's Royal Family ( together with Prince Philip, also of Greece / Denmark ) the most thoroughly Royal in blood.
by far the most handsome and the more intelligent of the three brothers. he was close to david, duke of windsor, who nused him through withdrawal from herion. he did much work liasing with germany pre. and during ww2, on behalf of the royal family. what was not stated in the investigation report on his plane crash, is that there was an extra corpse. this corpse, it was rumoured, was rudolf hess. the man in spandau, it was said, was a doppleganger. noel coward admitted to an affair with the duke
@johneunson Quite the contrary, Noël Coward firmly denied the relationship went beyond close friendship, but that he discovered his love for him after he died. But I tend to agree that this was probably a gesture of courtesy to the royal family, since Noël Coward found his own homosexuality hard to discuss...
