I used Catmull-Rom Cinematic Cameras for the smoth movement and recorded with fraps.

i have seen this one detail i like in maps but i can never find out how to do this, how do you blend the textures on the water side (like how do you make the grass and sand fade into each other?)

Cube maps. Put a Cube maps entity in you're map "verity of them for differnt layers" and type buildcubemaps into console. It makes lighting and water reflect almost anything
