  • wait i had to pause....WHEN WAS THIS SHOW RATED MA!!!!

  • and everytime she knew who was the murder.. she's a fucking genius

  • Highest crime rate per Capita also poor girl everywhere she goes theres a murder...

  • The Fugitive was a good flick, but it would have been much cooler if Angela Lansbury had the Tommy Lee Jones role.

  • lol....who remembers typewriters?

  • @Escul1960 I do I remember sitting with my mother and click clacking on hers as a little girl and playing with the "correction strips". I used to scrape my nail across the chalky side and make little designs in the strip. I was so young. I thought it was the best thing in the world, to play with my mothers typewriter in the attic.

  • Wasn't there an attraction originally at Universal Studios Florida based on Murder She Wrote ?

  • I was an extra numerous times in this series that was filmed in the towns of Mendocino, Fort Bragg and Noyo Harbor, Calif. from 1984 to 1994.

  • Why did the rating say TV-MA?

  • her life was perfect

  • TVMA?

  • It was a good show, but if anyone happened to somehow be involved with that many murder cases then the police would begin to suspect that that particular person must be involved :) Maybe she was the murderer.

  • Angela Lansbury for grandma!

  • WE WANT ONE MORE MURDER SHE WROTE MOVIE. JOIN MY FACEBOOK PAGE .

  • Festro was right. She is the greatest sleuth of all time.

Never doubt The Disgustoids from Secret Mountain Fort Awesome.

  • ras trent?

  • Angela Lansbury/Jessica Fletcher reminds me of a woman who looked like her. I helped her out to her car a few times and told her she reminded me of Jessica Fletcher of "Murder, She Wrote", and she agreed. She was a HUGE Angela Lansbury/Murder, She Wrote fan!

  • i request this song at clubs all the time

  • Why do the murderers of america go to Cabot Cove. There's a dozen murders a year and EVERY one of them has been solved. Also why is it a shock:

    "Murder, here, in Cabot Cove?!?!?!"

Yet it's still a great show.

  • my dog hates this

  • @hardindr I assumed because every week someone died graphically on the show.

  • Why is this rated MA?

  • This was only the opening sequence in the earlier years. It was revised every so often, adding scenes from recently completely seasons. Hallmark channel has adopted one version of the Murder She Wrote Opening sequence they use when all the episodes they air.

  • Wonderful show. Angela Lansbury was a genius.

  • In what world is this show rated MA?

  • @lilweezy1984 This show came out before the rating system did. So I have no idea why they rated it MA. I'm assuming because of the violence and the fact that they show dead bodies on here.

  • I hope that when Im her age I still got spunk !

  • All I can say is I'd hate to have her at one of my gatherings.... she's nice but someone always gets killed.

  • i use to watch this in jamaica every mornng...couldnt miss it

  • How was there even anyone left alive in Cabot Cove? or did the entire town chip in for her to go on vacation and thats why we have season 11(?)

  • lol i always laughed at how happy sounding the theme is when it's a show about murder! jb fletcher kicks arse but i wouldn't wanna know her in real life cos everywhere she goes people wind up dead!...

  • @captainkpeanuts I know, I always called it Mrs. Roger's neighborhood XD.

  • Wasnt there an attraction at Universal Studios Florida based on Murder She Wrote ?

  • jb fletcher. author. who solves murders.............da fuq?

  • Murder She Wrote is TV MA? The hell?

  • @TomasTigre It was the episode where Jessica got invited into Hugh Hefner's harem...banned episode, rofl! ;D

  • Maledetta traditrice di una jessica fletcher...perché Rete4?

  • Downloading 94 gigs of the entirety of this show on bit torrent. That's a lot of murder.. that she wrote..

  • Just a side note, I would imagine Angela Lansbury getting arthritis from typing on a typewriter for so long.

  • The german title of the series, when translated back to english means: 'Murder is her hobby' ... retarted.

  • @LueTm in french : arabesque

    go figure :)

  • It's just like 1984.

  • I used to watch this show with my mom.... She passed away almost half a year ago and I miss her very much. I watch the show on Netflix and I always feel like shes still here with me watching it.

  • @CaptainLynn109 im with youre lose bud nice you stil enyoy her in soemway =)

  • TV-MA? LOL. Did you put that in as a joke or was it in error on the part of the TV station?

  • My mom used to watch this show when I was a kid. Thought it was boring but always loved the theme song

  • Why do sickos write terrible comments for no reason, KCArmstrongXIIV you should be ashamed of your comments see a shrink you have a sick mind.

  • The murder would have happened anyway,

but the killer could not be found,

    If not for Jessica???

But this is too little solace ...

  • Don't mess with Jess!

  • To mee 0:10 is just fucking EPIC, the way she runs and she is... well she has a lot of years hahaha :DD

  • My Grandma used to watch this show everyday before she died.

RIP Grandma, 9 years ago you died, but you will always be in my heart!

  • Someone should write lyrics to this epic song >X-D

  • Cabot Cove must have been the murder capital of America when compared to the size of the town.

  • @Argantonis

Cabot Cove's population oscillates depending on the presence of Jessica Fletcher in the town:

when she's away it's comparable to Rome's population, but when she returns and stays there more than a week it falls down to 1.000-2.000 inhabitants.

Even other cities are affected by these demographic oscillations that seem to be stronger when Jessica Flethcer mentions her nephew, Grady Fletcher.

  • @Argantonis no its santa carlo

  • @Argantonis That's why they had her get a place in NYC and start touring.

  • @Argantonis A bit like Midsummer Murders then lol

  • @Argantonis It's per capita murder rate was more than three times Southern Africa's was in Season 5, which is the most dangerous region in the world. If New York city had the same rate there would've been just over 30000 people murdered in 2010 in the metro are. xD

  • @Argantonis Like with Bergerac, How many crimes do you think happen (a year) on the Island of Jersey?

  • no one fucks with jb fletcher.

  • dcase82 i know right

  • i wacth this show on hallmark 12.00 to 1.00

  • Why is Murder She Wrote rated TV-MA?

  • @dcase82 It's not rated TV-MA per say. It's the current rating system put on an old show. Am I right?

  • @dcase82

I blame all the silenced gun episodes for this rating.

  • @dcase82 I have no idea.

  • Great show .

  • I was 10 years old, was watching the series this and LOVED them!

  • And one day they invented DNA and PCs.

Btw, does anyone know how the series ended? I can't seem to find it anywhere or anyone who know... >.>

  • @xnoheart16 Watch the show and find out yourself.

  • @roosevelthighschool Maybe I would if I could.

  • Classic intro. That's what 80's shows were all about I guess.

  • thunderstorms,candlelight,horrible fashion,faded glamour, love jessica,childhoodmemories..

  • oh my god she makes me so horny, oh gosh I want to fuck jessica fletcher

  • Tom Bosley (Mr. Cunningham from Happy Days) is the sheriff in case you didn't already know.

  • I REALLY LOVE ANGELA LANSBURY!!! SHE IS A CLASSIC!!! I LOVE ALL HER SERIES IN MURDER SHE WORTE!!!

  • Paul McCartney looks great in this video!

  • I've been told this show - as well as The Golden Girls - were favorites of President Ronald Reagan.

  • quirky piano lol

  • This is a classic show that I wish all seasons of was on DVD so we could enjoy it again. I loved this show so much because my grandmother on my mom's side who has been dead since 1992 and I watched it every time we were together.

  • during the opening sequence most of the clips was from the first season which was the best of all..

  • Jessica would get it. Right up the arse!

  • Is this show even on anymore these days?

  • Frickin loved this show back in the day.

  • So let me just get this straight: Angela Lansbury is a writer who is also a detective? Is that right?

  • @roosevelthighschool Angela Lansbury is an actor. Playing Jessica Fletcher. Jessica Fletcher is a writer and english teacher who happens to stumble upon and then solve murders every other day.

  • I wonder just what was the rating of this show when it first came out back in 1987.

  • TV-MA? I dont recall this show being TV-MA. Yes, I know that the TV ratings system wasn't around at that point, but i guess I always thought it would be like TV-14 or TV-PG.

  • @DDRPaladin356 Haha, I was wondering about that. I actually viewed this just to see if the preview window was playing tricks on me.

  • I remember I used to watch this show with my mom when I was a kid. Loved the theme song.

  • When i was a YOUNG lad ...i remember every week my family used to look forward to this show. It's one of those shows that brought families together and good TV times! These days it's all about downloading series... the family tv time seems DEAD to me? or am i wrong :(

  • I'm not helping the gay steryotype by loving this am I? lol

  • I want her as my wife, how can one person solve so many murders. LEGEND

  • i watched this shit with my grandma!!!!!!!!

  • Murder is somehow acceptable on TV. And other crimes aren't!

Don't hold your breath for such shows as "Pedophilia, She Wrote", or "CSI - Pyramid Schemes".

Although I hear that FOX is currently in post-production with "Law & Order: Special Torturing-People-Into-False-Confessions Unit".

But I guess that's just modern tastes...

  • @trentmuch1 Big Love was about polygamy, Weeds is about drugs and drug dealing, Captain Planet was about a group of vigilantes, Tomb Raider was about trespassing, House is all about malpractice.

murder's not the only thing they make shows about!

  • @scarletrhubarb

None of those were mystery shows, though. Call me when they make "Columbo - The Case Of The Mistreated Cat".

  • @trentmuch1 the mistreated cat sounds like a good idea for a show ;D

  • @scarletrhubarb

Well let's campaign for it then! :P

"Jimmy 'Chipmunk' Babette - Animal Protection Squad".

    That's a winning title!

  • Man, this was the shit!

  • Rating MA for mature audiences. 50-80 range.

  • TVMA? More like "Porn, she wrote"

  • 1 person has something seriously wrong with them

  • dear god, this is as bad as jersey shore.

  • there was this teacher in my school named mrs o'keef who loved this show, whenever she missed an episode she'd take it out on the students. no joke

  • What's up with the TV MA in the corner and wasn't this on CBS, not FOX? LOL!! Thanks for posting!!

  • i remember my great grandmother had her friday nite tv schedule and we would sit and watch murder she wrote and golden girls lol when i see those 2 shows it reminds me of her

    aww RIP Great Grandma!

  • My mother used to love this show so much. I remember watching this with her as well as Matlock, Perry Mason and umm Columbo

  • The most prolific serial killer of all time.Everywhere she goes there's a murder. Coincidence ? I think not!

  • Do you have the version from the later seasons, in which she has a computer?

  • Jessica will be thrilled with the new tribute

video Murder She Wrote Song from

Rocky and Balls songwriting duo on the Rocky and Balls channel

  • aahahauahua OMG I used to watch this when I was like 11 @ Super RTL

  • Just bought season 1-5 for a sweet £30 :D Well worthit!

  • Murder, She Wrote<~~~the most unappealing grammatically correct comma in tv show title history

  • 1 person has been placed in jail because of Jessica. Anyways, I love the show.

  • TV MA? Was it that bad they had to give it an "MA" rating? Oh wait it's Fox.

  • this theme song was tooken from the episode Death takes a curtian call series 1 episode 9

  • Since when is Murder She Wrote rated TV-MA?

  • @sajjify116

I agree...I don't ever remember the language being strong. And the violence was generally mild.

  • @GayNiggerSex lol well put

  • My full back tattoo of Jessica Fletcher in evening wear. Worth. it.

  • Miss Marple!

  • This setting is so unlike Maine, it's very comical. I mean they could have at least gotten it right.

  • it reminds me of my grandma every time i watch it

  • it reminds me of my grandma every time i watch it

  • The music is the best thing about the show... seriously

  • everywhere this nosy old biddy goes someone ends up dead, she should just keep here buisness to herself!

  • lol, this show is so fucking cute

  • My Netflix account was cancelled and they have every season on there. ALLLLL I want right now is to find free full episodes of this show online. It's like some strange addiction.

  • My grandma used to love this show when it was on the air! Growing up, I knew Angela Lansbury best for this show, as well as for being the voice of Mrs. Potts from "Beauty and the Beast". About 5-6 years ago, I discovered the musical "Sweeney Todd", and I discovered that she had originated the role of Mrs. Lovett. Hehe, that was kind of a shock to me! But I am definitely a big fan of hers. =D

  • Funny how a TV show about murder has such an upbeat wholesome intro, lol!

  • This opening sequence was from the beginning of the series but it was changed several times throughout the run of the show. Often times things were added or cut but there were still parts of it that remained original

  • The Hallmark channel only uses one version of the opening sequence on all the episodes they air, rather than using the original version for the episode being shown.

  • TV MA!?!? Times have certainly changed...

  • best part at 0:28

  • the classic intro..

  • when t.v. shows were t.v. shows

not the crap you got on t.v. now

    and NOW YOU KNOW!

keep it real keep it simple

Murder She Wrote CLASSIC like a Coca Cola !!

  • Loved the show, and Angela Lansbury as well. But I always thought - If Jessica Fletcher showed up somewhere, shouldn't you get worried that something BAD was going to happen to somebody - possibly YOU?

  • epic!

  • Notice some typewriters that the order of the keys is from bottom to up in a column of keys starting from the right like on Jessica's typewriter and my parent's Smith Corona has them reversed (or is this just a mirror image effect?)

  • @Greenspots84 I always thought that too! Haha!

  • Alguien sabe el nombre de este tema o el autor para poder conseguir la partitura. Someboby know what is the name of this song? I'd find the score.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I loved this show. I always thought the last episode of the series should have revealed that Jessica Fletcher had actually been the murderer in all of the cases all along...LOL!!

  • OMG!!!! Wat is that machine she's using to type out her manuscript...I see letters being formed but it looks nothing like a MacBook Pro...can somebody help me??? *sarcasm* lol...

  • @filthyrags10 That is called a typewriter! (I knew that day will come, I am typing some Christmas jukebox strips on it as I listen to this theme, brings back memories of a simpler time!)

  • TV MA?!
