When one does not hear from friend cheecheepia one always find some immensely moving melodies on his page..and one is not surprised how so many souls,particularly those going through their grief time,seek refuge from the King or KK haha! And that is because the King will help deal with despair by glorifying thier loss.

What surprises me is that the King could still pull such a heavy punch even when he was lapsing into old age.... great upload KK.

all my life ive been a hardcore fan of kishore kumar sahib, i just cant believe i let a singer like mehdi hassan ji slip through the net, this is the first ever song i heard of MH ji & it hit me like a ton of bricks, its so so beautiful, i drift away somewhere while listening to this gem, kya baat hai mehdi sahib, forgive me for my ignorance, he truely is a living legend & stands out alone from the rest khuda hafiz.

It's very true, we come alone and go alone. Yet in this jahan MH saheeb sings this beautiful worded ghazal with his own experience. Where are his fans when he needed them?to support him for his hopital treatment? This ghazals is for his unreal fans who backed off when he really needed them.

Forget about the beauty of this ghazal in that form. The reality exists. The legend is truly alone in this jehan.

My own reseach shows that as opposed to a rather sensationional impression, Mehdi Hassan has been recieving health care in one of the most prestigious private centres at Karachi. Not only the Government has provided good part of funds but many dignitories including Presidents and Prime Ministers have been visiting him to wish him well.More over he probably still gets royalty money and lives in a splendid house. Why should he then suffer and beg from anyone. May he live long.

@passion689 Passion ji not all but some of his children created this mess in order to make some money and tried to rip off governament which was already helping him to get best treatments. not only feds but provincial governament of sindh gave him substantial funds. he lived king size all of his life and made lots of money by recording film songs - producing ghazal records and touring around the world. he has houses in lahore - karachi where his kids live but all this was making mony on him.thx

A superb dig out by *cheecheepia* YouTube channel. Flute, sarod, Guitar & Sarangi, all traditional instruments were perfectly used. The selection of the "image of Broken Heart" and picture of a pretty sober girl with a glare in her eyes -SUPERB. Then the changing complexion of her face & inter-mixing of colours, established her inside sentiments of her heart. ALL technical and charmimg. Melody was composed in Raga AHEERI TODI. Yes, *cheecheepia*, you are right. I also thought to express my opinion about Tabla & Dholak and as you know, there is limitation of 500 alphabets by YouTube. Tabla & Dholak were all tuned well technically and the players did their work with full competence, as required in the composition. Thanks. One may be surrounded by a sea of humanity and yet not be connected to anyone-- the situation of being lonely in a crowd. Lacking a beloved may make that loneliness doubly intensified. MH brings home this reality movingly. The picture of a woman sitting at the edge of a bridge casting a backward, perhaps wistful, glance at her man who has just left her could mean such unendurable loneliness for both.
