i thought the video made clear the bear died. to me it looks like speculation the bear died no body was found. I think he actually exagerating what happened he probably struck the bear once and it ran off like a bear typical would. they woudn,t let a dangerous bear just run around. it must still be alive.

@DRTMaverick Take it, I do live in an area with 'big' bears. my closest encounter was with an @ 400 lb. black bear. He was standing up beside a tree getting ready to climb out of fear. He was only 20 ft. away. I guess he was deterred by the presence of my doggie. (The dog is only a 90 lb. Rott X with at least 50 types of cancer.) Like the conservation officers say: "When hikin' in bear areas, travel in groups."

@DRTMaverick Just out of curiosity, consider the star system Beta Pictoris. The comets there are 1000's of X bigger than our Oort cloud comets. Does that put things in perspective ? Bears don't round people up and put them in gas ovens nor do they sell us cars, or celebrate July 4 th with fireworks. Anything with a brain larger than a pea has intelligence. We should respect a bears' intelligence. I just wish bears would stop burning wood in campsites and fireplaces. : )
