Its a shame kubrick didnt include the 21st chapter in this film, among some small other changes and visual misconceptions but the lacking of the final chapter was this films biggest flaw by far
@JPsWTFProductions If you mean the chapter where Alex goes straight, Burgess was forced to add that so the publisher would publish the his book. He whipped it out in a weekend or something and never really considered it part of the book. Burgess hated that chapter, so did Kubrick. K thought it was crap.
@SmokeRingsPipeDreams in fact, when the book came to USA to American publishers (most pessimistic and dark) Burgess published the book if you remove that last chapter. Burgess if he wanted this chapter (actually there is the most important message of the story) but I accept that it published in America. He said in a re-edition of the book.
I saw this movie for the first time last week. There was a really quiet kid in my Literature and Apocalypse class a couple semesters ago who looked just like Alex. Hat and everything. I still see him from time to time. All he does is nod. We never speak. Maybe I should sleep with my eyes open.

i know this is just nitpicking but that description is wrong. The most famous scene(not close) is the one in the middle of the aversion therapy where Alex eyes are held open by that machine.
@bmxblaster79 i should know i read the book, but i just cant remember. i guess its saying you cant force bad people to be good by using drugs or other forms of treatment. People should be good because they want to.
The human mind, and by extension all of society is deep and mysterious. They are not to be tinkered with by well meaning technicians. Those things we call 'mental problems' or 'behavior problems' are not 'problems' like we find in a math book with the correct answer in the back.
@mrsneux213 You know what :D I think it is... Jackass got alot of inspiration from movies and stuff and I think this is one of them.. they like to do "parody" scenes of movies scenes ;)
@Kriskazam Alex has lost his mind for the actions of his ¨droogs¨ and he wanna show ´em who´s the boss. Takling surreally, if you see it from the standpoint of the psyche, this represents u can lose the control of everything around you, when you have no control in yourself.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
@mikey0rox To send them (his "droogs" or friends) the message that HE and only HE (Alex, the anti-hero) is the leader of the gang. He's worried that Georgie is gonna steal his authority, so he beats them all into submission. Alex is a fucking sociopath lol.
I'm in year 11 so now we are allowed to go out of school at lunch time. I carry around a metal object which I rest on my shoulder or just hold it, like how Alex is with his cane. As we walk along the roads I always have classical music in my mind and really get the urge to just beat up my friends around me with my "cane". Know that I'm not deliberately typing in anyway to try and be "funny" or imitate Alex. I watched this movie when I was younger and it was a big factor in making me who I am.
@tricksterhuaun Hahaha I honestly get the urge to kill old ladies when there happens to be some sort of object that can be used lying around somewhere.
it's too bad there wasn't a scene at end of movie that saw alex get revenge on his droog buddies who turned into police. i'd still like to see his droog buddies with their skulls smashed in
I was the only one of my friends to catch the Clockwork Orange allusion when South Park did a shot-by-shot parody of this scene during the Coon and Friends episode.
@mrcow94 i thought the ending was poorly written. Alex didnt really turn good, he never felt any remorse for his victims, he only ceased his actions because he saw his friend pete with a wife and felt bored with his current lifestyle, he was simply following another social trend, it failed to drive home Anthony Burgess's "goodness comes from within" message that it was intended to and just felt out of place and awkward.
Just finished reading the book today! It was real horrorshow. Now I think I will viddy the film again and so by having read the book beforehands I will be able to understand nadsat speak a lot better than the first times and all that cal.
Alex is my all-time favorite fictional character. My sister asked me for names for her kid and I gave her 'Alex'...not that she knows she pretty much named her son after a sociopath.
I wonder what it might have been like to have been a person who saw this being filmed. Just four guys walking around dressed in strange outfits, then out of nowhere one of them swings a cane at the other's crotch, pushing them into water and cutting one of their hands.
"as we walked along the flatblock marina, I was calm on the outside, but thinking all the time - Now it was to be Georgie the general, saying what we should do and what not to do, and Dim as his mindless greeding bulldog. But suddenly, I viddied that thinking was for the gloopy ones, and that the oomny ones use like, inspiration and what Bog sends. Now it was lovely music that came into my aid. I know a lot of movies from now and the past. Though I wonder if the uploader is about right with his statement. "possible the world's most famous scene". what? do you guys think it's even in the top 20? it's good Ofc but "most famous" or "most liked"? I just doubt that! But I love the movie!
Still one of the most brilliantly creepy movies ever made.

I know a lot of movies from now and the past. Though I wonder if the uploader is about right with his statement. "possible the world's most famous scene". what? do you guys think it's even in the top 20? it's good Ofc but "most famous" or "most liked"? I just doubt that! But I love the movie!
