muy buenos los combates,es la primera ves que veo un torneo donde compiten itf,wtf y gtf,y gano el de itf jaja, ojala todas las federaciones de tkd organizaran un torneo abierto pero mundial
i heard a master from north korea said on late 1960's,taekwondo itf grading are far more harder than karate! they said last time people who get 4th degree consider the best master..
nowadays many people reach more than 6th degree...its honour belt...
wrestling?ha ha ha,fucking loser,a kick in the balls is all he needs to defeat a wrestler, that is not a martial art to us tkd masters, wrestling has no value,we do not kare about u fucker go watch wrestling not tkd loser me as a tkd blackbelt do not go around peeping on wrestling, simply do not kare about it,period, hahahaha stupid clown
I am referring to the fact that itf do not spar full contact, restrict punching , only spar at long and medium range and do not adress clinching or the ground.MMA is a complete method for unarmed combat.
that's not true. the fact it's restricted is because they don't want to have serious injuries occuring.
if u wanna say MMA is the best it's not.even MMA fighting has rules. it does not include eye poking, balls ripping, throat ripping which is especially crucial to win an unarmed combat fight fast.
real tkd techniques include grion kicking, throat chopping and such.
training could not include any of the illegal methods you mention so those techniques would never be tested.MMA uses all ranges and full contact, tkd never has .
lemme introduce u to a new word called poomsae. while they dun test it on humans, they still train illegal techniques through poomsae. TKD also uses all ranges. look at taegeuk 7 which includes knee strikes.
id be extremely surprised if any itf school had effective grappling on their syllabus.Maybe some in the U.S where MMA is so popular but ITF is very closed minded when it comes to anything that wasnt taught by grandmaster choi, necessary or not.
its all about the fighter, and not every school is closed minded, my case, in my school we usually go to BJJ seminars,...I train in the same school than Javier Varela, so I tell you he has great skills in stand up and ground fighting,...thanks to his spirit to learn more and also to our Master
thats very rare in the ITF,in most cases the instructor would be forced to not teach stuff outside the syllabus by the governing association, your country must be different.
is just that nowadays MMA has done a very good thing showing the world all diferent tipes of MA ...so ...to be a stand up fighter and NOT KNOW ground fighting is like to be a fighter from the 70´s
fighting has always been fighting... ppl in the 70's used to train harder, so that's not a valid argument. Yes some ground fighting is needed, for self-defense its good, but certainly not the most important aspect... most fights DO NOT end in the ground: most fights are bar brawls where clubs, chairs, bottles are involved, no MA is good against them. Besides the fact that you cannot go to the ground in all situations. But indeed, nowadays TKD is not enough for self-defense.
not ju jitsu either, or just boxing,..you must know stand up and ground fighting...BUT...YOU ARE RIGHT...in almost every fight on the streets,..if you go to the ground...you may end up a dead man
what most people don't realize is that fear and doubt can be enough to lose your life in a self-defence situation. mostly the guys who win a fight are those determined to do it, of course training and size and so on are important, BUT one strong punch/or kick could tear down your opponents' morale and that gives you a great advantage.street attackers generally feel stronger or that they have an advantage but when that goes away they might even run off.TKD, boxing, anything can be used well
buenisimas las peleas... Increilbe como pelea el campeon.

fight mma and then tell us what happened.Ive been around tkd a long time and its fun but not a tough or complete style by any means.

TKD is plenty tough. Especially if you condition well enough. And no art is "complete".

This guy is f$#ng fighting machine. I would like to see him agains a wrestler though. I guess he gets his ass handed to him.

as a martial artist OBVIOUSLY he knows ground fighting
I CAN´T really think of a martial artist nowadays who doesnt know either ground fighting (for stand ups) and vice versa
