@godrilla Having a twin turbo is not the magic formula to beat a G. What matters is: Weight, HP torque and gearing and to some degree aerodynamics. So saying it has a turbo means nothing by itself. If the BMW was heavier and had 200HP and 210 ft-lb torque, it would lose even with the turbo.
@Tari14 will 1 year make a difference? Seriously? That bmw model suppose to compete with that class..07 or not they had problem with cooling their turbo. While the infiniti VQ engine its raw engine with no turbo needed. I really think that some folks that own the 2008 335i received a recall with their turbo.

Far too short of a video. BMW's are nice, and a tad faster than the G. However, after knowing people with BMW's and personally owning an '08 G37S coupe, I can fairly conclude that BMW's fall apart after no-time, are very behind in technology, are a LOT more expensive.

I own a 08' G37s. I've gone headsup against a few 335's and hate to admit it, but have lost eveytime...not by much but none the less. No shame though, BMW twin turbo aint nothing to scouff at.
@jts9704 I owned an '08 White on Ivory G37S with all four packages, and although it wasn't as fast as a 335i, for $7-10k less a few 10ths of a second slower is no big. It's overall a more reliable car. Of the 7 cars I've owned in the past 6 years, the G took the cake in every aspect. With $35 oil changes at the dealer with rental car included, it's the best performance brand on the street, bar-none. I realize BMw's come w/ "free maint." but we all know u pay for it upfront... and some.

@0220SVTFOCUS, the longer the race & the faster one goes, the less FI matters. Turbos add torque which is significant from a 'dig', but beyond the launch it becomes more a matter of power-to-weight, TRACTION, gearing, and at high speeds, even the comparative drag coefficients.

IT has turbos which mean it will have gobs more torque at lower rpms. g37 has lots of power but its top end power but for a naturally aspirated motor, the VQ's are torquey. I much prefer the G for it's looks and quality. BMW is just too generic nowadays. Everybody and their grandmothers has a 3 series.
both bmw and nissan fans need to chill first of all none of the cars in this vid are stock and their are more cars from these companies you can compare like the 370z vs z4 or the m56 vs 550i and with those 4 cars in the same class nissan/infiniti out performs bmw and they give you more bang for your buck.

Even if a Nissan has more HP it still loses. My 330i (240hp) is faster than a 350Z with custom exhaust. Where is the sense in here? I think Nissan doesnt put down that much HP to the wheel. He lost a race to me so i guess I know what i am saying.

@dukviper90 330i ZHP does it in 5.7 sec . 350Z is not fast. The manufacturer claims it's hp and in reality it doesnt put down that much HP to the wheel. It is a 3.5L V6 and it loses to 3.0l I6 not even mentioning the BMW's 3.2l i6 that makes over 300hp in and old M3 .
@aleksankazakov The ZHP is fast because it's lighter and the transmission is geared completely different. The engine is still weak. Only 235 hp and the Z puts around 260 horspower to the wheels and weighing in at 3350 5.4-5.47 is about right on. The Z is not designed for straight line speed but to have power in corner exits and is a dynamically friendly car. The new 370z push the envelope even further. Two completely different cars either way.

@infiniti37G the newer bmw's are pretty reliable. Just like every car, they all have there set of problems. infiniti have oil issues and transmission issue with the older g35's. i have one. Bmw had cooling issues with there older cars. it's just the costs you pay for ownin a luxury car but dollar for dollar, Infiniti all day. Sexier and sounds better.

Drove the 335i and the G37 just recently. After getting out of the 335, I felt like someone had just played a joke on me. Even more so after driving the G37. The interior is FAR nicer. I just found the BMW to be lame-o and overly boring. The interior is designed like my dead grandpa's 1980 Cadillac. Except I thought the Cadillac was a nicer car.
On top of that, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes have the worst reliability track record of ALL cars available in the US. Infinity does not.
To nawzy, the ECU flash actually makes the turbos more efficient and thus when I'm not stomping on the gas I actually do average around 29-30mpg cruising at 65 on the freeway. :-)

The g37 runs a similar quarter mile to the 335i, and the 350z has been clocked (the hr version) to run as fast if not faster then the stock 335i ( I believe the record is 12.9, but most magizines have it in the mid to low 13 second range). Ie your stupid and wrong....

When I got inside of that tiny Nissan Sentra I realized that I am way too big for it. There was no space for my arms and everything inside was cheap , not a single animal died for it. And it drove like it too. When I got my BMW I felt that everything is just made with attention to details. I have so many buttons on my seat that i can play with them.

Yes the 335i is faster, but....
1) It costs $10,000 more than the G37S (if both are same year model)
2) BMW is twin- turbo charged, G37S is not
3) BMW will overheat in the long-run under sustained engine performance; G37S will not
If the BMW was priced the same as the G37S, if the G37S had a twin turbo, and if the BMW didn't have reliability issues....AND under these circumstances the BMW won the race, then that is a true win. But sadly it is not.

@godrilla Having a twin turbo is not the magic formula to beat a G. What matters is: Weight, HP torque and gearing and to some degree aerodynamics. So saying it has a turbo means nothing by itself. If the BMW was heavier and had 200HP and 210 ft-lb torque, it would lose even with the turbo.

I own a 08' G37s. I've gone headsup against a few 335's and hate to admit it, but have lost eveytime...not by much but none the less. No shame though, BMW twin turbo aint nothing to scouff at.

@jts9704 I owned an '08 White on Ivory G37S with all four packages, and although it wasn't as fast as a 335i, for $7-10k less a few 10ths of a second slower is no big. It's overall a more reliable car. Of the 7 cars I've owned in the past 6 years, the G took the cake in every aspect. With $35 oil changes at the dealer with rental car included, it's the best performance brand on the street, bar-none. I realize BMw's come w/ "free maint." but we all know u pay for it upfront... and some.

"fuckin dick" would be a person who doesnt know that atmospheric pressure affects 1:3 on turbo engines such as the 335i over naturally aspirated ones.. so learn a little before announcing your ignorance.. the lack of oxygen in turbo enginesis barely noticed cause of the forced induction.. Naturally aspirated ones just have the pressure of atmosphere at the place they are running so when a 300hp NA ride runs at 6000ft over sea level loses around 62hp while turbo just loses 30hp

"Hydraulic" transmission you mean?? that doesn´t matter nissan deveoloped the most advanced continuously variable transmission.. according to the engine speed it mantains a higher area under the curve by allowing to have full power from 2000 rpm thats around 80% of efficency over an M3 and no.. abs was first developed in the ford zodiac more than 50 years ago.. no.. im not jelous I´ve had a 530i and certainly I can say a 300zx from 20 years ago will take it down with a same sized engine..

@runekhmer Stock, the 335i will always win. IT has turbos which mean it will have gobs more torque at lower rpms. g37 has lots of power but its top end power but for a naturally aspirated motor, the VQ's are torquey. I much prefer the G for it's looks and quality. BMW is just too generic nowadays. Everybody and their grandmothers has a 3 series.

Even if a Nissan has more HP it still loses. My 330i (240hp) is faster than a 350Z with custom exhaust. Where is the sense in here? I think Nissan doesnt put down that much HP to the wheel. He lost a race to me so i guess I know what i am saying.

@dukviper90 330i ZHP does it in 5.7 sec . 350Z is not fast. The manufacturer claims it's hp and in reality it doesnt put down that much HP to the wheel. It is a 3.5L V6 and it loses to 3.0l I6 not even mentioning the BMW's 3.2l i6 that makes over 300hp in and old M3 .

@aleksankazakov The ZHP is fast because it's lighter and the transmission is geared completely different. The engine is still weak. Only 235 hp and the Z puts around 260 horspower to the wheels and weighing in at 3350 5.4-5.47 is about right on. The Z is not designed for straight line speed but to have power in corner exits and is a dynamically friendly car. The new 370z push the envelope even further. Two completely different cars either way.

Yes I am aware that Nissan produces those over priced Nissan's, but to say Nissan sucks is also saying the GT-R sucks and that the Z car sucks. @infiniti37G the newer bmw's are pretty reliable. Just like every car, they all have there set of problems. infiniti have oil issues and transmission issue with the older g35's. i have one. Bmw had cooling issues with there older cars. it's just the costs you pay for ownin a luxury car but dollar for dollar, Infiniti all day. Sexier and sounds better.

Drove the 335i and the G37 just recently. After getting out of the 335, I felt like someone had just played a joke on me. Even more so after driving the G37. The interior is FAR nicer. I just found the BMW to be lame-o and overly boring. The interior is designed like my dead grandpa's 1980 Cadillac. Except I thought the Cadillac was a nicer car.
On top of that, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes have the worst reliability track record of ALL cars available in the US. Infinity does not.

the 128i is a 14 second car, much slower then the 335i, perhaps you meant the 135i...
The g37 runs a similar quarter mile to the 335i, and the 350z has been clocked (the hr version) to run as fast if not faster then the stock 335i ( I believe the record is 12.9, but most magizines have it in the mid to low 13 second range). Ie your stupid and wrong....

BMW is more then a car. It has the name. Everything inside is thoughtfully engineered for a high level of comfort and joy. Nissan is more of a ricer's car. For yang Asians. Even tho Infinity is an expansive car, it doesn't bring out attention like a bimmer does.

@aleksankazakov Lol don't get me wrong. BMW's are nice but for a company who has been making race cars for YEARSSSSSSSSSSS way before infiniti, that 335i can barely beat the g37 in a straight line. Look at motortrends video comparison, the BMW broke down. and NO that bmw does not stand out. I see it everywhere especially because they look like that 328i minus one exhaust. By the way.. Nissan makes infiniti and BMW doesnt have a single car that can beat the GTR... lol

@H1myname Nissan has no prestige and most people dont even recognize what you drive, Altima or sentra. Everyone knows when you drive a BMW. BMW has M6 that can smoke GTR like it is standing still because GTR is only good for first 0-60mph and then it falls behind. @aleksankazakov That m6 is not stock. If you didnt know, Japanese car companies are the biggest automobile business in the WORLD. Toyota dominates outselling GM and every other car brand that exist as of now. GTR'S are made for real roads, not just a straight line. Anyone can drive in a straight line. Take it to a real track with real conditions. Stock M6's should run 11's on 1/4 tracks. Mustang cobra is faster then M6 in a straight line. Does that make the stang better? lol

Nissan has no class , and Infinity is way overpriced for its class. who wants to drive 40k Infinity when you can have top of the line bimmer. Japanese cars have a cheap reputation and it will not go away no matter how good they are. And by the way black people drive Chevy and Chrysler .They dont drive BMW 'cause BMW is for white people and Nissan is for Asians short legged and short armed ricer boys.

A lot of ghetto black people drive bmw and mercedes where I live. BMW is nice but don't compare BMW to a GTR. Why you gotta be racist? BMW cars are just as small inside. So what is your point??? @H1mynameisLarry I used to have a Japanese car for years and now i drive a Bimmer. Back then when my Mitsubishi broke I went to get a rental car. When I got inside of that tiny Nissan Sentra I realized that I am way too big for it. There was no space for my arms and everything inside was cheap , not a single animal died for it. And it drove like it too. When I got my BMW I felt that everything is just made with attention to details. I have so many buttons on my seat that i can play with them.

@aleksankazakov Do you realize a Sentra is one of Nissans cheapest car? Its smaller then the BMW 1 series fool. Why are you comparing a compact baby car to big cars? You should have not been cheap and rented a Maxima instead. That's probably your first nice car huh? All other cars have what BMW have now. Its just the badge. Get in a OLD bmw, it wont have shit. @H1mynameisLarry Why the same class of people drive the same cars in the united States? At first I saw it in video games, back in Europe. GTA San Andreas, there were always black people in the same kind of cars. I thought it was a joke, but no, they all do it for real. Mexicans drive big Vans and trucks with shiny wheels. If I was from japan then I would drive Nissan and be proud of it, but I am from Eu so I drive a BMW.

Audi S5 is my future car then R8 is the dream one. I can't believe you brought up sentra.
