How did weakness in the steel cause simultaneous failure in the building?

Pulling down a steel framed building is difficult and is not always done right. To think that it happened perfectly- by accident- is not just unlikely it is down-right impossible.

I have seen many recordings from around the towers when the first tower fell and you can't hear any series of explosions being detonated, only the rumble of the building collapsing. So the only way I would possibly believe that demolition explosives were used is if someone shows me evidence that there are some new type of silent or whisper quiet explosive technology.

Scale modeling is already impossible for this as the material properties change with size, e.g: If you try to scale down a tree, the wood grain would be larger - if you tried to scale down concrete the sand grains would be larger, and the properties different.

First off, what are you setting out to prove, and what is the bar you set as proof? As for the jet fuel they ignited the paper desk,plastics and also the plane was burning.

@blueshadow1996 That is not true. There has never been [until the 9/11 change to the laws of physics] a skyscrapper that fell due to fire. There have been many highrise fires before 9/11 and after that burned for days, yet there frames still stood, by the way many of them were allowed to burn out on there own!

If it wasn.t there within a few hours it would collapse if it was a steel frame structure. and it has not been put out.Why do they have viscoelastic dampers on the bottom cord of trusses?To deal with thermal expansion at normal temps.. if the fire proofing is knocked off and is allowed to burn does it not fall..Or is that why they have fire fighters to put them out before they fall?

@bkglamb The windsor towere shows how steel does weaken due to fire,unprotected steel will lead to a collapse due to differentiatial thermal expansion.In Thailand the Kader Toy fatctory was built causing them to be death traps, constructed from un-insulated steel girders that buckled and gave way in less than 15 minutes. on May 10,1993...The empire ste building was a concrete building.

@29render wont be a comment fight,,it did not fall because of fire alone.It was hit by a 767 which penetrated the building. cutting support columns as well and sending a shock wave, atomising the jetfuel ,ignitong sending a blast down the elevator shafts down and up the elevator shafts,causing fire to burn on exposed steel causing thermal expansion and sagging floors shifting the weight of the upper floors incresing strain untill the collpase..so it was more then just fire.,

On Jun 5-2006 author Ed Haas contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters to ask why, while claiming that bin Laden is wanted for multiple events, but not 9/11!

OK The World trade Center was brought down be Two things #1 Large wide bodied Jets full of Jet Fuel and #2 by a Lack of adhering to the New York City Building Code Which Does not allow Bar Joists for floor beams. The clip angles used for the attachment of these joist floor assemblies were only held in place by 4 bolts per angle clip and about 4 per assembly. The blown on Fireproofing was stripped away by the fuel blast. this is what happened. I am sorry for your misconception However Y'r wrong
