The mongoose 98 is great if you have a level 3 high-power certification. On the other hand, the Apogee Aspire is the only kit I know of which can be flown supersonic without any certification or permit (I assume this is what OP meant). Let me know if there are any others :-)
@Omnigeek6 I know. The aspire is very impressive. I was just pointing out it isn't the fastest you can buy. I think the mongoose 150 would suffice as well.
You forgot to mention that,besides the L3 cert, you need to have a huge wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket ;)
wildman Blackhawk 29 and Blackhawk 24 ;) The aspire is cool, but I lost a 29/40-120 in one. Definitely use tracking for such high flights...or single use motors
It's not the fastest, but by far the best deal.
However, the performance rocketry mongoose 98 goes over mach 2

@Lighttheskyup HOLY SHIT!
They actually make a Mongoose 150? I checked the website, and there's even a Mongoose 165!
But yeah, the Aspire is about the fastest mid-power rocket you can buy, but of course not the fastest you can build.
