  • Steve McQueen died from mesothemaloma...from asbestos. Smoking may not have helped his particular situation, but smoking was not the initial cause of his cancer.

  • what movie clip at the begining was that? Title?

  • @aron252 Yeah right!

  • @aron252 --- i bet the viceroys didn't help any.

  • @WKRPinCINN of course they didnt lol, theyre cigarettes

but im sure mowing his lawn didnt help any

    reading the newspaper didnt help

    taking a dump didnt help

    your point is invalid

  • @meatwadbattleaxe --- just got to say, love the way you wrote your response to me like a haiku! that was so cute!

  • Remember, cigars killed George Burns! He died at the young age of 102.

  • For most smokers, it's a mix of the culture and lack of willpower. Just saying.

  • remember.. at the time the show came out, the flintstones was written, script wise anyway, for adults, not kids.

  • A gid pack a Calisto cigars every now and then never did no harm...

  • The Flintstones also pitched beer as late as 1967. And, like the Simpsons, it was a cartton aimed at adults. It has adult situations that kids cant even identify with. It was on on Friday evenings.

  • Tobacco contains Polonium 210, which decays producing alpha particles. Tobacco as a plant is particularly adept at picking up this element, unlike other plants. The phosphate fertilizers contain traces of polonium 210, which tobacco concentrates, along with naturally occurring radiation.

  • Cigarette smoke is radioactive, enough said.

  • @lithicyde the sun is radioactive, even the earth is radioactive - enough said? no no, please eleborate

  • @el6caballo6oscuro6 Are you ingesting rat poison when you go out in the Sun? enough said? no, please elaborate.

  • @nic95 the sun causes skin cancer, though not enough sun can cause vitamin D deficiancy, so if you really wanna get picky about what's healthy and what's not, you're gunna live a pretty flaccid life

  • @aron252 is it a stretch to say both? Common bro, smoking is one thing but to the deny harmful effects is just silly.

I'm a smoker and I love to smoke because nicotine is relaxing. When all the cards are on the tables thats what it all comes down too, we are addicted.

  • everyone that smokes knows the risk so please keep your crappy insult to yourself.

  • I completely agree that smoking kills you, even being a smoker myself. However, I do think that everyone has the right to make their own decisions. If you want to smoke, you should be able to buy and smoke them as you like. It's all about personal decisions.

  • Well, duh ... how are they supposed to market cigs in an ad, if they don't glamorize it. Show someone gagging and spitting up some lung? Like candy ads ... don't show obese people with chocolate all over their mouths or alcohol ads are not showing a sloppy beligerant drunk running someone over? Or any drug ad showing the side effects rather than scrolling them all on the screen.

  • Bloomberg is a total asshole. You can't smoke OUTSIDE in time square???

  • just like daddy..VERY CUTE!

  • Last time i saw a cigarette ads was in a copy of playboy, which i needed 3 fucking pieces of ID to buy, not geared to children.

  • Does Tobacco still exist? I forgot.

  • You've just watched a cigarette commercial. Hidden in plain sight?

  • I wish I could take back the 20 yrs that i had smoked. After nearly six yrs being an ex smoker, i feel silly for ever taking up the habit in the first place.

  • it made me want to smoke

  • thats messed up

  • Women back in the 50's smoking cigarettes look sexy :)

  • WARNING! Bunch of disgruntled smokers have posted their specious arguments against tobacco smoking control below this video.

  • @azpeev Translation: Stop thinking things I don't like.

  • @azpeev Translation: Stop thinking things I don't like.

  • @YourProfessor Made a top comment? Woo-hoo! And the hateful message from a total looser to make it all legit. I want to thank all the people how suppurted me along the way. And thank you God for making me as brilliant as I am! Don't smoke, kids. Cheers.

  • @azpeev And modest. What a package.

  • Well now I have seen everything, A BABY with a cigarette in his mouth! That's SICKENING!

  • @Sheri451 reminds me of the family guy episode where stewie started 2 smoke.

  • @sasukeluver345 Did you see the baby in Asia that was a heavy smoker, his family encouraged him to smoke They thought he looked cute, now they're having to break his habit and he's not taking it very well. I think it's sad, someone giving a baby a cigarette.

  • @Sheri451 I remember that, it was horrible. breaks my heart when I see it.

  • @sasukeluver345 I just hope the little fellow has been broken from his nicotine habit.

  • @Sheri451 Yaa me to, poor kid.

  • Cigarettes are good for you. My great grandma lived past 90 smoking since her pre-teen years.

  • @NewVinland Well putting chemicals in your lungs/body is never good for you

  • @NewVinland that's pretty fallacious. I doubt cigarettes made her live past 90.

  • We had freedom back then. I see nothing wrong with advertising a product that the consumer is capable of ignoring. It comes down to personal responsability. Warning labels on the cigarettes is fine enough. No need to ban these ads when alcohol comapnies are allowed to pedle their wares everywhere. And alcohol is far more dangerous to those who don't even drink.

  • @MyPersonalVendetta yeah but they don't need to lie about the facts and telling It's healthy or trying to sell It to kids who can't handle It!

  • @MyPersonalVendetta Yeah, they have alcohol commercials all the time. Alcohol kills way more people than smoking does. If a high school kid smokes a cig driving down the road, so what? But if he's drinking vodka, say goodbye to the kids one the crosswalk in front of him.

  • @aron252 Exactly. This report is so biased against smoking that it's sickening.

  • The days when we still had freedom.

  • The freedom to kill ourselves?

  • No the freedom to live our lives without everyone else knowing what was better for us than we do or complaining about everything and anything. Most of the time these same people that complain about smoking sit and home knocking back beer or merlot or prescriptions.

  • True about the beer, merlot, etc... for some people. However, I gave up drinking years ago as well, and I am not hooked on prescription drugs. But I certainly see your point. Reminds me of adults back in the 1960s who were appalled by the amount of young people smoking pot, but at the same time these same adults were hitting the bars and chugging down brandy alexanders, rum & cokes, and martinis.

  • Freedom ? please ! In a civilised society we need to have respect for our surroundings otherwise we have no values at all.

  • That'd be cool to see...

  • Mhmm. Very interesting.

  • Oh man...nostalgia advertising is cool, but that exhibit, I'd LOVE to see!

  • true ,but cant smoking cause mesothelioma
